  1. Those of you that have been around know about my dog Amy's medical problems in the past and the 2 major surgeries she has been through. Today she had to have another operation because of the problem reoccurring. I just got a phone call that she passed on the operating table. She was my best friend, closest companion, and loved everybody she came into contact with. Look at my avatar, then go pet your dog or cat in her memory, animals are a very special part of many of our lives.
  2. Those ants work and do training of inspectors for revenue Canada!
  3. As of closing nymex was still sliding downward lets see what happens tomorrow. http://futures.tradingcharts.com/marketquo....php3?market=CL
  4. For the last 25 years I've been lucky to live by Lake Huron in what used to be known as Bosanquet Twp but now called Lambton Shores. We are near ( 7 km ) the town of Forest about 60 Km or an hour from London. Like it here as much as I did when we first moved here and I'm old enough that by the time "progress" ( known as more subdivisions ) come around I'll be gone!
  5. That was neat....nice idea and great job on putting it together!
  6. Bo was unique....many artists today are good but when I think back on my life in relation to age one of the things that is so cool is I we lived through a period where the artist of yesterday was responsible for shaping artists of today. Bye Bye BO!!!
  7. New Liskard has everything you ask for and when your ready you only have a 30 min drive to Elk Lake down highway 65. What place are you staying at?
  8. Congrats on the house. For what it's worth I'm not a mtg lover, and prefer a PLC instead, however what we did was save a whole lot of dollars years ago when we were buying and selling property by using term insurance. Another way to really save dollars in the long term is to make double payments a month. You will be surprised how much interest you will save and the time duration that it cuts off until paid in full.
  9. I have a Lowe 165, had it for the last 12 years. Was going to buy a new boat but since the boat has everything I require to fish, and has never given me any problems I just decided to upgrade to a Honda 50 and keep the boat. I think they are great value for the money. Here's and older picture.
  10. Best wishes on your birthday...hope we get to hookup sometime this summer.
  11. Go to the one in Port Huron Mich all the time. Sometimes they have great deals, but like everywhere you have to shop. For what it's worth there is also a Bass Pro Shop in Utica Michigan so have fun!!!
  12. Bought a used 70Hp from a board member to replace my 30 as I wanted more power. About a month after purchasing it I was offered a Honda 50 for a very attractive price, listed the 70 for sale for what I paid and sold it in one evening so I bought the 50. Add the fact that my marina is 2 minutes from my house and when I troll I use a Honda 5 so I'm in pretty good shape when it comes to fuel consumption. I also drift for Smallmouth most of the time so no big cutbacks for me.
  13. Jo and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your son at this time.
  14. Would appreciate any info pro or con on fishing in late May to Early June on Lake Biscotasing. 600 plus miles of shoreline and over 400 islands with the surrounding structure they should have sure sounds interesting! Thanks in advance.
  15. Don't know where I've been but I first noticed this today. Glad everything went OK. Having had a section of my intestine removed last April just make sure and keep watching for any infection. There is a lot of bacteria involved in this type of surgery and infection is somewhat common. Shes a lot younger that I am so her recovery should be minimal if she follows her surgeons orders.
  16. It's a hard thing to do but you did what was best for your buddy. Keep the old memories in mind and she will always be with you.
  17. I just used mine in 13F temps outside...was 67F in the garage ( 2 car ) and would have went much higher if I didn't limit the thermostat. This unit is propane with the option for natural gas with an orifice change. Make sure when you put one in that you do it to code. Proper distances off the floor and from the walls must be maintained. I'm not big on wood stoves in garages, especially where cars are kept or a lot of wood dust is in the air. As far as condensation never had a problem. I added the overhead fan in picture 3...makes a big difference in a more even heat.
  18. That was fantastic...Vanilla would be proud!!
  19. We used to have a family day every week....remember.....it was called Sunday!
  20. I watched the Linders show this morning on WFN and to me he's still the best. When we had the video store I brought in all the In Fisherman tapes of different species for rental. I learned more from those tapes and on occasion still look at them. I was sad when they sold the magazine a few years back...what a fountain of information.
  21. Two things I am not is politically correct and fashion conscious. If somehing works catching fish I will buy it no matter what it looks like. Heck I'm in the boat so it will never look stylish anyway.
  22. Absolutely fantastic news!!!!!!!
