  1. North end of Pigeon, troll open water, 10" Jake.
  2. Cliff, it was nice to met you and Bly, and talk to Brian! I wish that 54"er had graced my boat, 2 boats and 2 days of trolling only resulted in this little guy...20 minutes into it on Saturday, I though it was the start of a good weekend, but that was it.
  3. Great pics Mike! Been awhile since I've been there! I gotta admit, its nice to see you don't always "crush em".
  4. Beautiful Muskie Wayne! Congrats on the tanker!
  5. John was also instrumental in the forming of Muskies Canada 30 years ago!
  6. Make sure you have proper release tools! Long nose pliers, jaw spreaders, and mini-bolt cutters( to cut hooks that don't easily come out) can all be bought at Canadian Tire. A Net or Cradle is also a must, hand landing is dangerous for the fish and novice Muskie anglers alike... If you have the right release tools I'd be happy to give you some tips on spots and lures, If you're planning on going Thanksgiving weekend I can even show you some gear and spots as I'll be just across the bay at my Trailer! PM me if you want to chat.
  7. So, I discovered that the port side wheel has quite abit of grease gunk on the inside, where as the starboard side does not...and there is definately grease coming out of the inner seal. I Jacked the trailer up and there is little to no movement of the wheel. I have bearing buddies which I grease regularly. I'm headed to the French River Wed. and don't really have the time to do a bearing job...Will it be ok?
  8. Both are 2 of the best round baitcasters on the market. You will be happy with either, though the TE will be harder on your bank account by about $120!
  9. Thats just an average Bass, for Florida!!!! WTG! I say its abit over 6 pounds, maybe pushing 7 pounds!
  10. Thats an awesome concert! I have the DVD and the CD. George's best friends(and his Son), one year after his death, playing their hearts out!
  11. There's nothin' wrong with with using a spinning set-up for Muskie, as long as its beefy enough and your using an appropriate strength of line. But why would you want to troll with it????????????????????
  12. BPS might get trashed, but that doesn't mean there's not some great people associated with the place! Great work Roger!
  13. yes, lets keep this one on the level, but don't forget many people have died since 9/11...No need to asign blame, just teach your kids the value of human life, and how aweful war and needless killing is! And never forget how lucky we are here in Canada!!!
  14. I still get choked up when I think of the bravery of the passengers of A.A. Flight 93... Reminds me of a quote I heard years ago on a tv show, "The greatest gift one can give to another is their life"
  15. Y2K survival supplies? Did they include a little booklet entitled "What to do in the event the earth is swallowed by a black hole"!?
  16. No foaming mouth here! But someone had to say it!
  17. Thanks for the heads up! I went down to CTC to get one...weren't on sale...Looked at tires, found out that Dunlop Radial Rovers 265/70 16 were on for $144 each! And got a 9amp Dewalt reciprocating saw and case for the same price($99) as the 6.5amp one! Thanks!
  18. Problem is, most motors in that year of 4 stroke are either kept or traded in to a dealer...I bet its tough to find one private.
  19. I'm usually one of the guys that promote having proper release tools when Muskie fishing, so when I looked back and saw the back of my boat while fishing solo Labour day weekend I though this would be a good picture to post! I can't stress enough how important a quality landing net is! There are other ways of landing Muskie but for the in-experienced its the only way! Everyone probably has long nose pliers but HOOK CUTTERS are so important! You can buy the best and spend $60+ on Knipex, but a cheaper alternative is Candian tires mini-bolt cutters for $20.
