  10. Just picked this off MSNBC...This guys a class act and a great Pilot! Sullenberger, a former fighter pilot, was the last off the plane, which become submerged as it floated past midtown Manhattan. Passengers said he matter-of-factly replied "You're welcome" to grateful passengers who thanked him for bringing the plane down safely. Only minor injuries were reported after the crash, which investigators believe was caused when a flock of geese collided with both engines, disabling them
  11. Easy as pie. Just takes practice. I launch/load alone all the time. Yet I watch people at my Trailer Park struggle to do it, yet they only put their boats in once and take them out once in a season. I loaded my boat at this launch one day,More of a sand beach really and then rescued a similar sized boat that was about to be sucked into one of those tubes! There was a guy in it desparately holding the rim of the tube, while the current pulled at the boat, and his buddy was getting the car! I had to laugh, here I was loading my boat alone, and these two couldn't do it without me saving their butts. BUT, I launch all the time alone, it doesn't take long to get confident.
  12. Great Pics, thanks for sharing!
  13. Great tribute Paul! I have a Brother who is 14 yrs my senior and like a Father to me in many ways, I couldn't imagine life here without him. My condolences to you and your family. Dax
  14. Congrats! Thats a great way to start 2009!
  15. The problem with lower end Muskie reels is that if used hard they will not last. If you are going to do abit of Muskie fishing no problem, you start spending lots of time chasing them and throwing big Bucktails and Jerkbaits they will break. You get what you pay for...If the Pete Maina is on sale I'd grab one, they come in 2 gear ratios, 4:1 or 5:1
  16. I've heard more opinions on this than I can count! You can charge a Battery on any amp setting, 2,6,8,10. Some Battery chargers have a 12v or 6v setting. Make sure you use the 12v setting! Unless its a 6v Battery.
  17. I'm talking about Pigeon lake in the Kawarthas, east of Bobcaygeon. Sorry if you meant another lake...
  18. Pigeon is CLOSED as of Nov. 15...No ICE fishing!

  20. Thats what eventually happens to wood when it gets wet Roy...My boat has a nice warm garage to reside in now, but its first 2 seasons(may-Oct) were spent at a dock.
  21. Thanks guys. Just a little winter project Tom...
