  1. Send some local kids down with small hooks and ice fishing rods!
  2. Oh boy, that pile of mussells had me drooling
  3. Woah, you smashed em good!
  4. Good stuff. Marten lake is awesome and still seems to have lots of big fish.
  5. Wow great report. Very interesting colouration on those walleyes and that brookie mustve been one hell of an awesome surprise
  6. Your buddies are the crazy ones for thinking moving to montreal is anything but awesome!
  7. Well thats an insane day of bassin'... Do you eat the largies from your area?
  8. Thats a fall fish. Ive seen them up to 15 16 inches in the ott riv. Disappointing when youre walleye fishing thats for sure
  9. A laker lake with a max depth of 30 ft...i cant imagine that being a very productive trout lake. Troll spoons with snap weights or keel weights starting at 1 or 2 oz and work your way deeper until you hit fish. Vertical jig if you find structure they seem to be relating to closely.
  10. Love the snout grab on those monster gar! I guess thats the only way to hold them...
  11. Amazing numbers, and looks like a really good average size too. You live in polkadot heaven!
  12. Fantastic fish. I can only imagine the thrill of a catch like that on the fly.
  13. Hahaha no kidding. I can think of about 400 similar looking shorelines
  14. Bucktails work great tipped with a grub, but when youre ripping thru thick weeds i prefer keeping the jig bare for a leaner more weedless profile
  15. Niiicely done. That is some great footage
  16. No kidding. Youve got a spcies list and a general depth idea...go fish and have fun.
  17. Those rapalas knives really are garbage. I dont bother trying to keep an edge on them either, but since i invested in a quality blade id like to develop some good skills on keeping it razor sharp
  18. I have one... But could never get it to perform like i think it should. Could just be an issue of angle though. Thanks for all the replies. Im looking for razor sharp and that lansky system looks pretty slick, but i think i can get more performance out of my stone and gun oil setup if i can get more proficient with it.
  19. I have a very nice folding Buck filet knife. Very impressed with it...blade stayed sharp for much longer than any other knife I've owned in the past however it is now quite dull. Never liked the multipurpose sharperners...I have a fine stone and some oil but I clearly don't know what I'm doing because I've yet to really see any results. What is your favourite method?
  20. 10 hours gets you to some stellar areas...Timmins area...big ab...Kipawa...wawa/white river...gogama. If you're giving yourself that much travel time then take advantage of it and go somewhere special
  21. Yep. Waste is a relative term...but that would tick me off too. Pike are certainly not fun to clean but man are they ever tasty.
  22. The northgate plaza is a common long term parking area and right on the highway. If you park right along highway fence you will be worry free.
  23. Amazing. The whole neighbourhood came out for a bite...you deserve it. Loving the cold water this year!
  24. Amazing stuff. You've got yourself a gem of a stream there
  25. Yep...big game and xt are great for baitcasters...super tough. I run XL on my spinning reels...ive yet to find a lighter mono I like more.
