  1. Because anyone with a criminal record is a bloodthirsty maniac?
  2. Those simcoe Lakers are so greasy you need a bounce sheet to grab onto them?? Great fish, even a bonus whitey too by the looks of it
  3. That must have been a hilariously awkward conversation. Just like an episode of Cops..."That's not mine I don't know who put that there!"
  4. Awesome perch, looks like a killer meal
  5. Yep, I run Trilene XL for my leaders. I buy 4 lb fluoro leader material for finesse situations but otherwise I don't bother with it.
  6. Been making my way through all my favourite Beatles solo releases. Was never crazy about Lennon's stuff for the most part, but he's still got more than a few absolute gems like this one. https://www.youtube.com/embed/1Dxv_8tmAJU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen> All Things Must Pass and Band on the Run next...
  7. Very cool. Wonder how many other fish without distinct markings that you've caught more than once.
  8. Just as valuable as gold, given the prices they go for now! How bad are they? Aside from hooks (obviously) my rusty old Williams stay that way, and still work just as well as they did new, if not better.
  9. Gorgeous fish, my kind of trip! We've only had ice out here for about 5 days so the Lakers have been busy but specks are a ways off. Is this ON or QC?
  10. Chris, blue/silver was the steady producer all weekend, but I tried a charteuse/orange Cyclops yesterday for a few hours with good results...lucky strike half wave was working well too. When you find active fish they're not at all picky lol
  11. Fished another new lake today. Found a creek mouth with a pod of fish hanging off the mouth and a couple more flatlining on a steep breaking shoreline running as close to the shoreline as possible. Cyclops was the ticket again
  12. First day truly targeting musky I landed a 50"er, had caught a few while walleye fishing in years past as well. Now I live north of their range so Ill likely never go out of my way to target them anymore.
  13. Sounds like a blast. I love the after dark shore fishing.
  14. I'd have to look on a map...only went there once. Within eyeshot of the firetower.
  15. The small lakes in that area have been pressured for a long time now, but there's some still some good fishing to be had. Use MNR fish online tool to find some of the stocked rainbow lakes in the area, awesome fun in the summer
  16. Tried a new lake today with totally different results. Flatlining cleos and Cyclops over 6-10 FOW boulder flats was the ticket
  17. Ice went out here 2 days ago, and we got into a few Lakers today. The flatlining bite was very slow, but will pick up once the surface gains a few more degrees. Jigging bucktails and gulp minnows on steep drops like you would ice fishing is a good bet for when the water is still icy cool.
  18. I was inquiring about cooking them. I have caught catfish before.
  19. Interested to hear how you like to prepare those cats?
  20. Some good size cats, looks like an awesome day! I wish I could find them on the river around here.
  21. Some pretty trout. Nice job
  22. Some seriously respecktable brookies. I'm totally jealous of your open water!
  23. That RX-7 is incredible, wow. Always liked those cars, but a cammed 6 L is just nuts
  24. Kipawa area lakes are still pretty locked up, likely won't be ready for this weekend (close though), but its going to be an earlier ice out than last year
