  1. Eat the chub and save the rest for the gators.
  2. Would love to go, but anything south of Sundridge/South River is a bit too much of a haul for me for a day trip.
  3. I don't know how you reply to the wrong thread
  4. Quickfish 3 is nice for sure. Are you saying its only your wife that's tired of fishing in -40 outside? When its that cold, its time to crank up the hand warmers and go riding, save fishing for another day!
  5. That's some great action...try a jig and white twister tail sometime.
  6. Add a bunch of salt to the water to scent them up I'd rather have dead minnows for pike any day of the week
  7. I can sit and listen to Waylon all night
  8. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/2sDGTZRdQdw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  9. If you haven't explored MNR Fish Online yet, I would highly suggest it. You will see stocking lists of lakes close to the highway you could shoe into. Can't comment on ice conditions but I understand the area does have some very productive trout lakes. Small lakes should be fine for walking (lakes are sleddable here now) but dont take my word for it!
  10. No minis, smallest was 14.5" and biggest right around 20.
  11. I bought a 2016 Indy Voyager 144.
  12. Tons of ice up here now. Sled trails are nice and another foot is on the way today. I get to work all weekend with a brand new sled sitting in my truck
  13. Yes, live minnows, my buddy got the biggest one sight fishing a lipless rattle bait.
  14. Great song from (maybe) my favourite Bowie record. I'll have to listen to this live recording all the way through.
  15. Fantastic tune ^ I'm giving his new one Blackstar a try, the title track is absolutely brilliant!
  16. David was an outrageously brilliant songwriter, as well as performer. His golden era of 'The Man Who Sold The World' through to 'Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps)' in the 70's contains much of the most brilliant pop and rock and roll (and everything in between) I've ever heard. His influence is heard in everything from bubblegum pop to heavy metal, and his sex, drugs, and rock and roll debauchery in his heyday surpassed just about anyone else this world has ever seen. A true legend in every sense of the word, and it sounds as though his last album released just a few days is absolutely great, apparently the best thing hes done in years.
  17. Long Lake might be worth looking into. Crosses the hwy and apparently excellent fishing.
  18. Bring the pop-up camper and boat to Rabbit Blanket lake in LSPP
  19. Good job Nick, looks like a blast
  20. Looks like a fun ride...Ill pass on the fuel bill though
  21. It's a totally unique experience, one of my favorite fishing styles, but can also be extremely frustrating!
  22. Lol! There's a degree of truth to every joke eh?
  23. Looks like a nice strain of steelhead in that river, no snub nose mutants. Great fish Mike
  24. Amen! Less and less of these over the years unfortunately. Seems most people here talk fishing more than they actually fish and the few that do fish don't post anything. I think most of the blue collar daytrip guys that fish a lot and wanted to talk fishing have left OFC due to the vast majority of the forum being off-topic.
  25. All waters north of hwy 17 in Zone 10 are open yr-round for bass as well.
