  1. Awesome! My lab used to drag 20 + lb pound chinook out of small streams by their back. Now he won't even so much as acknowledge a fish.
  2. Good goin. Lake O pike have been hitting in the bays in 4-10 FOW pretty well without fail for the past 2 weeks. Try slow rolling a big wobbler next time you're out.
  3. The reel counter should have a reset button...so no.
  4. Those Abu's are the best reel in the price range for throwing big heavy baits, and big water trolling. Awesome reels.
  5. Just what we need... Not like it hasn't already been going that way for years.
  6. Figured out how to embed. Only took me until now... <object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_LOiiWjpug?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_LOiiWjpug?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_LOiiWjpug?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
  7. I can get a good price on Fenwicks at a local shop. PM me what you're looking for.
  8. The Smiths - I Started Something I Couldn't Finish i started something i couldn't finish
  9. That looks excellent. Does it have a concave lip for popping? It's hard to tell in the photo.
  10. Not something I'd attempt when the dogs already ten years old, but that IS a good idea.
  11. Labs are VERY serious about their food. My yellow is 11 now, and I know he wouldn't do that to anyone in the house, but to a stranger? When there's food involved who knows...They get grumpy when they get old. I wouldn't be so hasty, regardless.
  12. I didn't mean to come across as confrontational. I see no use in pointing fingers over political affiliation.
  13. What does my affiliation or support for any party have to do with this? I wave no flag for any party, as I'm not so jaded as to think any suit dummy on parliament has any concern for my best interests. And if you think ANY majority government would like their citizens fully involved in key environmental decisions, then you think too highly of those in power.
  14. We don't live in a country with a two-party system...
  15. I've really enjoyed watching the Sens play this year. Super fun team to watch. People don't actually like Vancouver, do they?
  16. Excellent video. You've got me motivated to sort out my camping gear
  17. Precisely what they want! An open, science-based community of critical thinkers in this country might just be detrimental to Stephen and his bunch of backward-thinking criminals. An ugly picture is starting to unfold...
  18. I use whatever 8-12 lb mono I happen to have kicking around and put maybe 20-25 yards on. Use a back-to-back uni and connect your braid.
  19. Filter feeders like zebra mussels have greatly reduced biological productivity in the great lakes, which has had a massive effect on trout and salmon, which some others touched on in the Ganny thread much better than I could. However, walleye and bass populations seem to be flourishing, which be attributed to many other factors, like warmer average water temps...
  20. The thread title had me expecting a good joke... Great work though!
  21. Those jumpy browns are the best kind! Nice football!
  22. Nice going. I wacked 6 or 7 pig largemouth on jerkbaits while pike fishing today...No pike to boot... They obviously weren't spawning, and were smashing baits in 4-8 FOW. I've never seen them so aggressive this early in the year.
  23. I'll be on Weller's Bay tomorrow, which will definitely be doable for you. There are two public launches and more than likely some better spots to cast from shore. Bring some twitchbaits
  24. Nice! This might force you to fish somewhere other than Nipissing. Would also be nice for the whities in sturgeon!
