  1. What the hell is up with BPS? I put an online request for a catalog months ago and still haven't gotten anything. Although I get all their flyers. #$%#$%#$ I need some new bathroom reading material
  2. The blurred background pics are killing me! This is Toronto Island, there is a very good chance that your 'secert' spot has been fished a million times by other people then yourself...
  3. Wow, still no luck out there eh Wayne? Water temp hasn't come up much at all I guess. Oldman and I are heading out towards Marshall/Potato Island to see if we can pick up some shallow water pike this weekend, unless you know of another place I should check out instead
  4. The bikes don't make any more power in 1st or 2nd, then they do in 3rd, 4th or 5th. Gearing is what you are referring to Wheelies in 1st and 2nd gear are slow anyhow, those WOT wheelies in 5th can get very interesting.
  5. Unless you plan to swim, yes.
  6. Download the regs off the MNR site. No excuse, no matter what your age.
  7. Crap, I knew I forgot something today I'll have to bring my rod down for some fishing after work this week.
  8. I'll be out this weekend for pike/pickerel. Wayne, good luck on the lakers!
  9. Time to bring the .22-250 out with me while on Gbay Shouldn't make much of a boom out in open water!
  10. Is it just me or are most of the guys that fish the tribs for trout the ones that are super secretive? Seeing that the spots are more structure dependent, then say a lake, I could see why no one would give up their spots. Personally, if someone at the ramp or launch asks me what I caught, I'll tell them whatever I can.. Lure, depth, colour, structure etc etc. I really couldn't care less.
  11. Welcome to the board Tim!
  12. Sounds like the OP has a good excuse to fish the Toronto Police Harbour "Hey um, I was just doing this to get your attention, I think there might be a body out there"
  13. Nice fish! I was busy with wedding fittings all dang weekend and house work, so I didn't even make it out on the water. This weekend I'll be out on Gbay after a few of those toothy critters.
  14. Government dock down in Waubaushene is great for the shore angler. Pike/pickeral/bass and the odd muskie... Catfish at night if you can fight off the mosquito's.
  15. Some Husky Jerks and some spinnerbaits should work fine. Some suspending X-Raps are also a fav of mine.
  16. Idle in line for hours to save $20.. Some people just don't get it.
  17. Can't blame your friend for your own stupidity. You think it was a good idea to have 5-6 beers then go scuba diving? You are lucky you didn't end up with a Darwin award..
  18. Well, atleast on Gbay for pickerel/pike I won't be making it out today, hopefully someone from the site will!
  19. I've never heard the term 'lining' before, but I am assuming you guys are referring to snagging? I really don't know how using a marshmellow inplace of roe (Which I have done many times) means that I am intentionally trying to foul hook a fish. If someone could explain that to me, I'd appreciate it.
  20. Awesome report!! (now get your sig updated with our Team Banner )
  21. My plan has been foiled!
  22. The only shore fishing I've done in the LNR was late summer down at Devils Hole in the wee hours of the morning (12-4am).. Glow in the dark spoons (helped along with a camera flash) worked great for anything down there. Never really know what you're going to tie into, I've caught Kings, Coho's, Rainbows/Browns/Smallmouth all in one night
  23. Looks like I'll be one of the first volunteers out on the water helping the MNR with their Lake Simcoe Muskellunge Restoration Project!! Talk about being excited, it's like being a little kid on Xmas Eve. I'll bring along the camera (After checking with my MNR guide of course) but it should be a fun day out on the water. Weather for Wednesday looks good, 8 degree's and sunny. Perhaps this will be my best learning experience when it comes to muskies yet! (This coming a close second to our one and only Lew ). I will try to keep my mouth shut (somewhat) and my ears open. Hopefully I'll have some pics for you guys Wed night!
  24. You should be able to pick up that part at any electronics store(Sayal Electronics, etc) and even have them solder it on for you...
  25. I think some 8lb mono or 6lb braid will be more then enough. I am going to run 4lb Fireline this year on my spinning setup.
