  1. That is atleast a 2 person casting deck!! Good job!
  2. What the hell is that thing? lol It looks like those fish that have invaded the southern US waters..
  3. My PB muskie....
  4. 1 piece rod? I would guess it's a baitcaster.
  5. I hope so to I just got back from JB's, picked up a new jerkbait rod and reel (Compre 6'9' and a Okuma Induron 400).. I'm gonna be real ticked if I don't get to break them in with a muskie!
  6. Well, I've been waiting for the June 7th muskie opener on the French for a while. Unfortunately I completely forgot about the Relay for Life in Barrie, that happens on the Friday before (June 6th). We started to do the Relay after my sister passed away from brain cancer 3 years ago (she was 32 and a new mom). It's still extremely hard on my dad, he can't do the walk cause he just can't take it. It's getting easier for my mom and my sister though, trying to think of the good times we had instead of void that was left with all of us when she passed. My mom knew how badly I wanted to be out on the water, and told me to not worry about the walk, but I am sure I would be struck down on the French by a bolt of lightning if I didn't I called up the camp we were staying at and informed them of my miss scheduling.. They graciously bumped our stay from the Sat - Mon instead.. Now everyone is happy I won't be getting struck down by lightning (thanks sis!) and I'll make my mom happy (along with all the other people that are coming). My sis was a nurse at the RVH in the emergency ward, so we should have a pretty big team this year! I know this went a bit off topic, but hey there was a bit of fishing in it
  7. Lew, 6 or 7 muskie days? We REALLY need to get out this year together *cough* *hint* *cough*
  8. From what I've read for spring lakers, anywhere from 50-58 degree's.
  9. The weather should be on your side as far as warming things up to get those sluggish fish going!
  10. Make it 2 dozen worms and you have a deal!!!!!! Any name is better then the Raptors!! lol Perhaps NASCAR will be making it's way up here also?
  11. I know that quite a few guys on the US muskie boards seem to really like these.. Sorry I couldn't be of anymore help. They also really like to Okuma Induron's.. Might wanna look into those also.
  12. Exactly my point, the biggest game in your town Not up here... Like I said, we'd have another NHL franchise before we'd have a NFL one.
  13. Why do you think Toronto wants the Bills so bad? They'd get another NHL team before a NFL franchise... Buffalo is desperate, if anything the Bills will just up and move to another state that can actually support them.
  14. Awesome pics!! I love the French, definitely my favourite place to fish Where abouts are you located on the French? Main channel? My dad and I are heading up for the June 7th opener, I *think* I know where abouts those trees are..... That cottage looks awful familiar The fish in my avatar was caught just around the corner from the 'Cross'.
  15. The Bills will never move to Toronto... It would be the end of the CFL.
  16. A treaty is a treaty, so there really isn't anything people can do about that. However, I think they should only be allowed to net AFTER the spawn.. Taking those females stuffed full of eggs before the spawn has a bigger dent on the fish population then just the removal of 122,500lbs of fish. Anyone wanna guess who will be the first to complain when there are no more walleyes to gill net in Mille Lacs?
  17. LOL!!!!!!!!!
  18. Perhaps it was a glitch in the Matrix?
  19. Once you are out on the water, let all of your line out then reel it back in wet.
  20. I'll be throwing topwaters + bucktails on the French for the June 7th opener... And probably every other new bait I've purchased in the last 6 months
  21. Only time I have ever had braid snap is when it's been tangled around one of the eyelets before casting. Braid just doesn't snap for no reason...
  22. 24hrs straight. Barrie > Tampa FL. I don't suggest that to anyone... (I drove the entire way, only stopped for the odd coffee and washroom break)
  23. Once you have filled the spool, make sure to let all the line out of the reel and reel it back in wet. (We used a small spoon and a quick 30 second romp of the motor to get all the line in the water) If not, there is a good chance you'll end up having the line slip on the spool (Happened to my oldman this weekend)
  24. LOL!!!! My oldman and I were trying to jig up some pickerel yesterday, but we only managed to tie into 1 small OOS smallie and some giant pumpkinseeds!
