  1. West of the bridge towards the chute there is a narrow section that has some current. Really nice dropoffs there.
  2. So you are above or below the Chute? I fish the upper all the time, never the lower. Find any type of decent drop off into 20+ft of water and you shouldn't have any problems finding eyes.. Current breaks etc. Wally divers and shad raps work good from what I've been told.
  3. Zara Spooks can be worked through weeds and not get caught up if done carefully.
  4. Count me in for that Alaska trip
  5. Holy crap Dave, how much did that monster weigh in at? lol Mike, making plans for next year already eh?
  6. Lots of one eye'd fish out there... It will be fine.
  7. Bah, get a Calais over the Steez
  8. Great report!!!! Good find on the woman My gf would laugh in my face if I asked her to go there, lol
  9. I tell ya, women have the touch!! My mom outfishes both my dad and I EVERY single time we go out.. Nice report!
  10. I've never hit Sparrow before, I should probably as it's so close.
  11. Hopefully Stoty found this information useful in July.. I'm sure he'll be doing lots of ice fishing then.
  12. Just a sec, people fish for those things on purpose? Weird bunch.
  13. Nice report Mike!! Good to see you tried out a couple of new techniques... Bass are always suckers for tube jigs!
  14. I hear an increase in RPM with the last 1/4 throttle, but I don't gain any speed. That's why I'm thinking the prop could use a bump or decrease in pitch (which ever one gives me some more top end)
  15. Look how thick that fish is!!! Good job man!
  16. A question for the pros: Our 40HP 4stroke Honda tiller seems like it doesn't pick up much speed at all with the last 1/4 throttle at all. It rips out of the bottom end and gets up on plane in no time. Would changing to a prop with a different pitch help? Currently on GPS I am hitting around 45km/h with myself in the boat.
  17. Cliff, we wanted to have a decent sized screen also, but the all-in-one units where just to expensive and when you split the screen, they ended up smaller anyhow. I know you mentioned you have limited room, but have you ever thought about a separate graph and chartplotter?
  18. I think he maybe should trim up the motor a bit more, perhaps then he might just take off into space
  19. I'm 32 and my dad still tries to hand me his rod sometimes, lol. Nice report Johnny.
  20. Live crayfish or leopard frogs.
  21. You can get away with 30lb mono leader for topwater if you hate flouro or wire leaders. Mono doesn't sink and won't mess up the action of the lure. If you are in pikey waters, a leader is a must have.
  22. I get corporate rates through work if I wanna wow the gf for a weekend. Sheraton Fallsview is a pretty slick hotel.
  23. Skud, one thing I have learned.. Get 6ft of chain and attach it to your rope, if you don't you'll have problems holding even with the heaviest anchor.. I also learned that the hard way out on Simcoe
