  1. Hopefully it's nothing more then a water/clay mix.
  2. Dave, I've got the jigging down for the eyes. I consider myself a walleye machine now.
  3. I hate you.
  4. Mike, what's the maximum rating for your Lund? We got the max we could on our Legend and it's a pleasure to drive even when loaded to the teats.
  5. I like a long rod for jerkbaits. I run a 7' Avid for my baitcast setup which I throw everything with. I also run a 8' Compre for muskie fishing. A long rod makes everything easier if you ask me.

    WFN

Pft, I'm submitting the video I posted in Solo's thread. Can WFN sensor out swear words?
  7. As long as the vehicle is rated for it, the trailer can weight twice as much if not more then the tow vehicle.
  8. A lot of muskie guys like the big Curado..
  9. I dunno how anyone fishes without polarized sunglasses. You'll never fish without them.
  10. Not many lakes around Barrie that hold trout, you should be looking out towards Haliburton if that's your plan.
  11. I wouldn't be stream fishing for trout until you've verified the stream temps. If it gets to warm, you'll just end up killing them even if they are released.
  12. Well my dad and I have been looking forward to this trip for quite some time and we were not disappointed. Even though the weather wasn't the greatest for fishing (30 degree temps, no wind) we managed some nice ones. The drive up, not a cloud in the sky. We loaded Mikes poor boat down quite a bit, but we made it! Gorgeous views. A nice little eye my oldman picked up at the end of the first day trolling a fire tiger shad rap in about 8ft of water... A snake we picked up fishing a nice back bay full of weeds. Shore lunch on Friday, consisting of a few small pike. Thanks to my fish allergy, no fish for me!!! MMmmmmm hotdogs and mushrooms. Another small pike from the back lake A view to our final portage of the trip.. This lake was long and deep, absolutely awesome. The smallies were on fire, here is a nice example. Another nice pike for the oldman, this one bit me off only a few mins before. We were actually going to pick up the lure and saw the pike eyeing it from below. A short cast and my dad nails it. Thanks to a crappy shear pin, we get to tow Bunk and Mike home on Sat Now the funny part.... This video consists of two separate days. The first day we tried to hit a spot off of Mike's lake, this consisted of making our way over a beaver dam. Well it looks like the beavers worked a bit of OT in the spring and Mike had an uphill battle, lol. Second part of the video speaks for itself, a little handling mishap of a smallie lead to some curse words. If you have young kids around, you might wanna mute the volume. It's nothing to bad, but young ears don't need to hear my curse words.
  13. People need something to complain about... Idiots. sidenote: when we said the lords prayer in school, some of the kids with different backgrounds/religions simply went into the hallway while it was said. After it was over, they came back in..... no drama, no whining, no nothing.
  14. I had to use a refill kit on my Jetta last summer. Worked fine for the summer, but there is still a slow leak. Ah well, another $12 for this summer and I should be good to go, lol
  15. There is no reason someone needs to keep 5 steelhead in a single outing... Honestly, that's a crapload of fish. Even one decent sized one is more then enough to feed the wife and kids.. I wonder how many people who limit out on bows everytime they go out have already consumed the previous limit? or are the previous days limits still in the freezer?
  16. I'm sure the fish will still be there dude, lol. It's hard to keep the damn things off your line at this time of year.
  17. Bah, you can't count OOS fish as personal bests Just hope it's still there in a week, lol
  18. A friend of mine went to Texas A&M for firefighting. He worked at Dana for 5-6 years after completing school waiting for that call. Lots of competition out there, good luck and make sure you have a backup.
  19. As mentioned, bring the waders.
  20. I dunno if I believe that brookie record that was pulled out of Eugenia.
  21. If you have knots with your spinning outfit, be prepared to get extremely peaved off with your first baitcaster Hell, I had a few birdsnests last week when out for pike the first time this year. I guess that's what I get for bombing 1/4oz baits (extemely small topwaters) with 20lb braid on a baitcast setup
  22. The Forces isn't just a job, it's a career. If I'm ever in the position where I've exhausted all possibilities, you bet your ass I'll file for E.I. I don't feel any shame in taking advantage of something I've been paying into since I was 15 with my very first pay check.
  23. I caught a monster WGSF when I was younger. Before my dad could think about it, it was released back in the drink.
