  1. Holy crap that's awesome! I was in Halifax all last week and didn't do a damn thing Back on the 10th of August for another week! I should give him a call.
  2. I switched from the Raven crap to 4lb Maxima flouro near the end of the steelhead season this year. Don't plan on switching to anything else. Combine that with 8lb mainline and you are all set.
  3. A lot of saltwater guys use these reels. They put up with crap that you'd never expose a reel fished in freshwater to..
  4. Only thing I wear that's fishing related would be my GLoomis ballcap..
  5. Duramax + Allison = unbeatable combination There are a lot of good trucks out there regardless of what badge is on the front. Just pick the one that suits you the best and enjoy it.
  6. That's slop fishing for you.. Nothing you can do if the fish misses the baits. Lots of blowups with that type of fishing.
  7. It looks like a slammed Honda Civic with under body neon lights.
  8. Monster smallies in the lower Niagara (And upper for that matter) Untapped fishery for sure.
  9. Awesome report man!!!! Looks like the kids had a great time.. I'm sure shooting those rapids on the back lake the proper way is a lot more fun then going down them sideways
  10. That would be cool to use in clear water like Simcoe, but goodluck if the lake is somewhat tea stained. More of a toy then anything... a $1000 toy at that.
  11. Brian, companies like Rogers get paid good $$$ to sell off their customers personal info (ie phone numbers) to marketing companies.
  12. I nail pike all the time fishing topwater for smallies. It really depends on the location you are fishing... Don't over look topwater on deep weed edges like Rich has mentioned.. My oldman and I had a banner day last year out on the Pool nailing smallies out of 20+ft of water on topwaters... Also nailed a 36inch ski last year doing the same thing
  13. I've left multiple trout nets on, in, or around the Rocky Saugeen, lol...
  14. Hey Dave, Never thought of the trailers with rollers. I know on ours, the boat isn't going anywhere, even on the steepest of ramps with everything disconnected. But it's only a 15ft tinny, not the heaviest boat out there.
  15. Pft, I owned 3 Ferrari's and had 40k in tournament winnings by the time I was 16.. Did I mentioned I traveled to all those tournaments on my bike? Pulling the boat was a bugger.
  16. Every...........single..............time.. Bring the lube with you.
  17. I'd turn the truck off and leave it in gear.. There is no way the weight of the trailer is going to pull it in the water, especially with the e-brake engaged... Make sure the boat is unhooked before it even gets close to the water (tiedowns, winch, etc)... Even if you somehow screw up and the truck goes back a few feet, the boat won't be attached to the trailer so it won't pull the rear wheels of the truck off the ground.. If I was using a 2wd truck, I'd always have a winch just in case.... Nothing worse then 2wd and no weight in the bed... Pretty useless.
  18. Improved clinch for everything from the swivel to the hook.... I usually tie my bags with 2-4lb braid.. I can tie it super tight and it never comes loose. i've also been shown that hooking the bag on the side will greatly reduce the chance of it snagging up.
  19. I hope you didn't release it
  20. A 20min battle with a 193lb catfish, by a chick who is 4ft something and under 100lbs?
  21. If he can't afford the mortgage on his own, what other choice do they have but to put it up for sale?
  22. but...but....sailboats have the right away!!!! lol
