  1. If you are coming from the north, make sure you fish HoneyMoon Island State Park on your way down. Jig heads with half a shrimp will get you all kinds of things.
  2. Dan those are great! That one buck is awful thick!
  3. Stay away.. Sounds like he's eager to get rid of it and will do anything to make that happen. Let someone else be the sucker.
  4. Great info guys, I need to get my blades done as well for my power auger.
  5. Guys dump Xmas trees into Simcoe before the lake freezes over all the time for perch. I saw a guy drill about 15 holes last year in the span of 15mins looking for one. It was hilarious.
  6. Exactly what insurance is for. As for the deductible think of it as a very expensive parking lesson.
  7. Roy, perhaps you should try steelheading If you have any Gibsons, have a few for me tonight, lol.
  8. Ugh, I was hoping this was another plane story.. Stay strong Wayne, I'm sure she'll pull through this just fine. She'll be in my thoughts.
  9. Mike, I'm impressed you destroyed the Olympus, lol. I just got the Aquapac today, will be taking it on it's maiden voyage this weekend... I'll post up some pics when I get a chance!
  10. Have a 747c and absolutely love it!!!
  11. My DSLR hasn't made a river trip yet (Sans the small water like the Upper Credit).. I just don't trust myself, lol. I've ordered up a AquaPac so I can at least bring along the body with the nifty fifty and kit lens and keep it completely dry. No way the L lens will fit into the waterproof casing, but that's ok, it should be great for fish pics!
  12. Seriously, why am I here in Ontario.
  13. She won't get hardly any zoom with a DSLR kit lens... One thing I've learned is that you can easily spend more on glass then you will on the body

  15. Nope, bought it new along with a 4 year replacement warranty.. Best thing about L glass is you don't take to much of a hit when selling it. It really holds its value.
  16. Nice Dave! I recently picked up a 50in Panny VT Series a few months ago.. Talladega should look great tomorrow!!! (After I'm done fishing of course)
  17. If it passes emissions that's a pretty good indicator the engine is in decent running order. Don't piss money away because it's burning a hole in your wallet. If it ain't broke, don't fix it
  18. All those photos except the fish were taken with a non-IS lens
  19. Thanks Mike. No tripod and manual focusing
  20. You are playing with fire man, if it's out of the slot it goes back, if it's out of season it goes back.. Regardless if the hook is down it's throat or not.
  21. Picked up a Canon Rebel XS, Canon 70-200 f4/L non-is telephoto, EF 50mm F1.8 II (nifty fifty) and some other random stuff (bags, tripod etc)... Here are a few of the better pics (I think) I've taken... Definitely addicting! 22. That pretty much defines 'Gin Clear' Awesome pic!
  23. Don't bother with the performance upgrades, 95% of them are a waste of time and money. Now spending money on things like good fluids for the diffs, a tranny filter/flush, etc is a good idea. With that amount of miles on it, it's all about maintenance...
