  1. If you want to see snagged whitefish, just go out on Simcoe in the winter.. Not very hard to find, lol.
  2. Nice fish Mike!! But if you are going out on early season dicey ice, you really should think about a floater suit..
  3. Absolutely. But 3 guys in a van at 9pm behind a closed business is a lot different then me sitting in my car mid day in a parking lot eating lunch, wouldn't you say?
  4. Wow, those are some nice slabs!! That's one fish I wanna put a beating on through the ice this year.
  5. FYI, I'm the furthest thing from a cop hater, I have two family members that are police officers. I know what my legal rights are and will exercise them if I think it's a Bull request.
  6. Walking up to my car in the middle of a parking lot just to ask how I'm doing? Yeah, please see my previous reply, lol. Now, if I was on the riverbank fishing and you came up in uniform, I'd crap talk for hours if you wanted
  7. Um, unless you are charging with me a summary offense in which I'm required by law to give you my name and address, I don't have to answer a single question you ask me. You could try all you'd want though, I'd probably just smile and continue to eat my lunch.
  8. Time for you to read up on the Charter of Rights.
  9. I'd tell you to pound sand, no offense.
  10. I saw some guys getting busted at the IBP boat ramp last year with a bucket full of herring.. I can't imagine the fine they got for that.
  11. Brutal.. Talk about running out of gas and just rolling over. Ah well, that's hockey.
  12. Our goalie played fine, the rest of the team absolutely COLLAPSED around him.. No hitting, no winning the battles in the corners, no nothing.. We deserved the silver.
  13. If you are from Barrie pick your minnows up before you hit the road at Rack and Reel.
  14. He's just pissed Dean Blundell gets more airtime in Buffalo then he does
  15. Some of the rivers and streams are way to delicate for public access areas and big parking lots. They get enough pressure as is.
  16. Find some open water and catch some steelhead. Lay a beating on the whities and lakers on Simcoe as well.
  17. If Canada can keep up this pace, the US doesn't stand a chance. Keep them slammed up against the boards and get their defense looking over their shoulders while going into the corners and it's over.
  18. Had this in Southern Ontario forever, when I moved to Barrie I still dialed 10 digits, lol. No big deal.
  19. Make sure if you aren't using it, you have the cover on it. That's the biggest killer of ice augers..
  20. I think the big thing is having confidence, especially when steelheading. That's one thing I still struggle with. I start to second guess myself, and then it's over, lol. I've seen you land more fish on 6lb Maxima in gin clear water then I care to remember
  21. If it's gin clear and froggy then I'll usually run flouro (Steelheading) more times then not I'm running 4/6lb Maxima.. It definitely takes a beating compared to the flouro from what I've seen. One little nick in flouro and it's over, mono takes a beating especially for how cheap it is. I like to use flouro when jigging for whities and lakers in the winter as a lead (3-4ft with a micro swivel to 6lb Fireline Crystal). If I'm tossing big muskie baits for the toothy critters, it's 100-130lb flouro leads for sure, those lures are to expensive to lose
  22. Nothing wrong with knocking the attitudes of the juniors down a bit, never a bad thing to lose in the prelims
  23. Bad goaltending didn't help, but the entire team not showing up for the 3rd period didn't help... Look at all the corner battles they lost in the 3rd. Embarrassing.
  24. Same thing happened to us on Cooch the other day.. Furious action then around 11am or so it shut right off. Lucky for us we had a pail full by the time that happened, so we just packed up and left. Biggest fish of the day was just under 14inches.
