  1. They still do, lol! When it snows, I don't even bother driving into work. I work from home on my couch.
  2. I've been guilty of the same thing! You get so excited your brain stops working 70lbs or not, that's a nice fish.
  3. I'll start it off. That's not a 70lb muskie, lol.
  4. All you'd need is a cheap cordless impact. Should have no issues drilling a holes with a sharp blade.
  5. I'd put some washers on the bottom nuts, that's where you'll have your issues. Also it's not like you'll be swinging the thing around from the top, lol. I'm sure it will be fine.
  6. This has happened to be more then a few times on the French River when bringing in smallies. I've had a few devoured by 50+ inch monsters.
  7. It's just the Nanofil knot, although to me it makes more sense to call it an improved palomar.
  8. Leech is a good bet, but you can't beat a nightcrawler
  9. A red and white bobber, some hooks and sinkers
  10. Years of experience has taught me how to tie a knot properly I banked a few hot chromers today, no issues with knots. Also casts like a dream. More time on the water will see if it lives up to the hype, so far so good!
  11. I hope you roped some of those fat hen browns, lol.
  12. It's not a braid.
  13. Hire a different guide next time.
  14. I think the term shooting fish in a barrel applies here Can't complain too much when that happens!
  15. Mike, you can use the stock transducer that comes with the unit on the ice with a little ingenuity. However, the ice transducer makes things so much easier.. http://store.humminbird.com/products/314001?product_id=56705ccd03fc815f9a883ebcb7c064a7 I've got a 788CI that I will be using this year in my portable pack (Used a 747C before that, worked great!)
  16. I can't see how you have time to fish with all the knot comparisons you've been doing.. Interesting stuff.
  17. Learn to tie the correct knot
  18. I dunno about you but 99% of the guys I meet on the river are there to have a good time and usually are more then willing to lend a helping hand.
  19. This coming from the guy who banked 2 or 3 before my float even dropped the last time we fished.
  20. Ron, next time give Muskie Mike the rod :)
  21. Here's a link to the entire vid (In HD). It's unreal!
  22. Yeah man, I'm usually around the SQ1 area a few times a week We'll have to do lunch at Earls (Fantastic views, lol)
