  1. Vertical jig them just like you would in the winter through the ice.
  2. I like the Berkley power crayfish on a 60 degree shaky head with the screw retainer.
  3. So much more bang for your buck if you shop stateside. I'd personally try to buy in the fall as well, much better deals to be had.
  4. Definitely a pedestal mount in the front.
  5. I agree that they can't say a dog is dangerous because it looks like a certain breed, that's just stupidity running rampant, lol.
  6. I think some people blinded by love for their dogs are missing some very key points here. My sister has a AB, biggest pushover you can imagine. But that doesn't mean a damn thing if one day she decides to take a bite out of someone.. The problem is the amount of damage these dogs can do in a very short period of time. That's the one common factor with all these dogs, regardless of how well you've think you've trained it.. Not to mention the pain threshold these dogs have, you could take a baseball bat to its head and it wouldn't phase it. So combine those certain attributes into 120lbs of muscle and you've got the potential for disaster. Anyone who thinks they can predict what an animal will do is fooling themselves. These dogs (AB's for example) were bread as working dogs (to catch and hold livestock none the less). Do I think my sisters AB would ever harm a fly? Honestly, I don't think she ever will. Is there potential for extreme damage or even death if she does compared to other breeds? Absolutely.
  7. Do it properly with concrete once and never worry about it again. There's also no reason you need a trench or anything in that pic, lol!! Dig the hole, put the post in it and fill with concrete. Some stakes and some 2x4's will keep it straight until the concrete hardens.
  8. Man, you need to read the regulations a few times.
  9. I doubt something tried to eat that pike, most likely spawning wounds.
  10. Saw a boat go up in flames last year on Simcoe.. I guess they forgot to vent before starting... Whoops!
  11. An hour and a half for a 1100lb fish? Did they have it attached to a winch? LOL

    Bears

Maybe we can get the crack/drug dealers in TO to thin out the bear population?!?!??!?! In the end everyone will be happy! Cause I'm sure the bears will win a few rounds!
  13. Happy B-Day Roy!

    Bears

Bears, the new menace to society.
  15. None.

    Bears

Agreed 100% BB, a little precaution goes a long way. Give them nothing to come back for (food, garbage) and they won't be an issue.
  17. There's no clip on the Shark itself, except for where it attaches to the rigger line...that's where I attach my release.

    Bears

Agreed. People that think black bears are going to run out of the woods and maul their children/dogs are extremely misinformed. Most bears I see are headed the other way in a hurry, it's usually the only ass end I see, lol! It's about on par with people swimming in the ocean worried they'll be attacked my sharks.
  19. 12lb sharks here. Worth every penny.
  20. The salmon are everywhere. Guys catching them in 80 down 40 or out in 250 down 120.. No bang on patterns this year, that's for sure (At least in the north end of the lake)
  21. E25km/h picking up to 30km/h in the afternoon. No thanks.
  22. This is your only option.
  23. I'd cash in a few SAIL and BPS stores for a Cabela's.
  24. Great photos but I'd get rid of that HDR filter... Way over processed.
