  1. I've stopped fishing during the weekends unless I'm fishing salmon.. Way to much fishing pressure and boating/jetski'ing going on for me.. I'll stick to weekday evenings.. Glad you got into some fish!
  2. So they've got the wear a muzzle, that's about the only thing I got from that pdf... Death row? Not so much.
  3. LOL!!! Some of the giant whities I bring home from Simcoe look very similar filled with smelt/emerald shiners.
  4. I'm sorry but, lol!!!! If you want detailed Lake O reports, check out spoonpullers.com
  5. I've caught them in the Trent Severn Waterway for the past 5 years or so.. Gloucestor, Little Lake, Severn River. I'd assume Simcoe has had them for that long as well. Most of my good smallies this year (Yesterday evening for example) are coming off deep weed edges, top water bite which should be good hasn't been at all.. Ah well, the oldman and I like drop shoting for a change of pace.
  6. I fished 6hrs yesterday, no complaints was really nice out actually. Some cloud cover and a bit of wind kept the temps down. Today I'm staying in the house. Scared up a big muskie as well, gotta go back with my muskie gear!
  7. I see you still can't read. Ah well.
  8. Read his reply again.
  9. Wait until you've got a lure flying at your face at 50mph and we'll see how great those $5 glasses work for you... I've got one set of eyes, I don't mind spending a little $$$ to protect them.
  10. Been gobies in Simcoe for a long time... I've also found lots and lots of brown slimey weeds... I have a feeling the quick spring we had and the past few weeks of hot weather has done most of the damage. I was dragging tubes tonight in 30+ft of water for smallies, lol...
  11. Maui Jims for me.. I'll never buy anything else.
  12. Yeah, let's not start eating Atlantics out of Lake O, lol.. Any small chinook, coho, steelhead would taste just fine.
  13. Great looking reel man!
  14. Lake Ontario, Lake Erie, Georgian Bay, Lake Huron.
  15. Steelhead are a species of salmonid.. I wouldn't start calling them 'salmon' the same way you'd call a Chinook, Coho or an Atlantic a 'salmon'
  16. Absolutely not, sushi is ONLY salt water fish. (I'm assuming we are talking raw fish here, not cooked aka sushi, lol)
  17. BB, no Harbor Freights up here unfortunately. Although we do have Princess Auto which is very similar
  18. Chris, Crystal for sure.. I haven't lost a big brookie yet (And that's all we use on our spinning outfits)
  19. Who eating those giants things? LOL
  20. Looks to be around $230CAD new.
  21. ....so take that suggestion and run with it
  22. Algonquin would be a good choice!
  23. Unfortunately I don't think you'll have many choices.. Early morning/late evenings are the best anyhow, not to much traffic out on the lake then.
  24. I ordered custom boat numbers for the Lund from www.decalzone.com. No complaints.
