  1. I'd look into a Sportspal before that thing.
  2. Going to have to look into some of those leeches.
  3. Hero drifts on the eastern ditches? You'd probably start a riot, lol.
  4. That's insane.
  5. I used them last week up in northwestern Ontario for some lakers, even they love them! lol
  6. I think he's looking for a combo that will double for pier duty as well, unless I've misunderstood him.
  7. Wouldn't be caught without some Swammers if I'm laker fishing.
  8. Find the weed edges in the morning/evenings with access to deep water, you'll find the walleye.
  9. Any of those rods are fine.. You'll want something with a bit more 'umph' then your standard noodle rod however, those things are exactly that.... wet noodles.
  10. Pike aren't very picky, I doubt your leader had anything to do with it. He wasn't hungry and that was about it.
  11. You are going to freeze your ass off if you even attempt to float the Notty anytime after Sept, lol. You need to be out of the water to stay warm, be careful when the temps drop man.
  12. Square axle, 2000# if I'm not mistaken.
  13. I haven't the slightest idea, this is why I'll let the pros deal with it. If they say the axle is toast, then I'll replace it.
  14. Wow that's a pretty good price. I'll see what the alignment place has to say, if it's more to get it fixed I'll just replace the entire thing. Those EZ-Lube hubs sound great.
  15. Thanks for the info Shane! I'll give them a ring as well.
  16. This axle doesn't have built in camber on either side. It's a standard drop axle, which is now out over an inch in the middle, lol I've got an appointment at Barrie Frame and Alignment on Wed, we'll see what they say.
  17. If a fish is a monster, I'll take a measurement, if not it goes back with a pic and nothing else. Another thing I love is when guys over estimate the numbers of fish they catch, this is pretty common place in the fall with steelhead.. I JUST WENT 65 for 84!!!!!!
  18. Thanks Dave, I'm assuming ShoreLandr uses a standard drop axle for their trailers that I should be able to pick up anywhere. Oldman has already pulled the axle from the trailer, I'm going to take a run up there tonight and check it out for myself. I'll probably bring it back with me tonight and drop it off at a local shop to see if it can be straightened. If it can and I can get it aligned properly, I'll be happy. If not, I'll replace it.
  19. I'm not a Nikon guy, so it's hard for me to recommend one. However after a quick Google search a lot of people like the Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5-5.5G VR lens.
  20. Looks like the trailer axle took quite the hit on our fishing trip last week. I thought it might have just knocked the axle out of alignment but after looking at it today the axle is bent. Blew a tire just north of Parry Sound on the drive home and pretty much destroyed the other one due to the alignment being way out of wack (toe) So now the question is, new axle or get the current one straightened? I don't even wanna know what ShoreLand'r is going to charge us for a new one Of course the hubs and everything else are welded in, so no salvaging those either! If anyone can recommend someone in the Barrie area I'd appreciate it.
  21. Go try and let us know what you catch.
  22. Great combo.
  23. In the $500 range, I'd definitely be looking at the used market. More bang for your buck.
  24. Electrical tape or a few yards of mono will work just fine. Lucky you didn't hook up with a fish because you would have gotten spooled, lol!
