  1. I'd never use that feature, although I guess it could work in a few circumstances. That fact that it's subscription based kinda sucks.
  2. No, you'll want to find the deep basins. Be careful out there.
  3. Going to be slim pickings come spring. Gotta be ready with cash in hand and willing to drive.
  4. Warm water evaporates better then cold water. I installed an Aprilaire 600 in my last house. Pretty simple install but used a proper off/on valve not the one you get in the kit. Any questions just ask.
  5. Did you forget a camera?
  6. As big as you can for the front. I'm thinking of Helix 12 for the bow.
  7. I'm sure it would be ok for the 6in auger, especially if you aren't running and gunning. I actually still use mine around the shop, but I got it smoking and popping out on the ice after about 10 holes in a row with the 8in Finbore attached to it If you're doing a lot of holes and running and gunning you want the 996 or updated model.
  8. This is the one I blew up
  9. I run the DeWalt 1/2in Brushless Hammer Drill (DCD996B) with my 8in finbore. I blew up your standard Dewalt 20V drill using that auger last year You might get away running the standard drill with a 6in auger, but you'll be better off with the hammer dril for sure.
  10. Simcoe is a shitshow at the best of times, I can't even imagine what it's going to be like this year. City of Barrie, Township of Innisfil will be making $$$$ with parking tickets, lol.
  11. They're the exact same maps. You sure you haven't messed up the settings on the Helix? My Navionics app and the maps on my Helix 12 are identical no matter where I go. Almost sounds like you've got basemaps selected and not the Navionics card.
  12. Pre-tie them at home under the magnifying glass I need a few of these for fall whitefish on Gbay.
  13. Yup, Helix 5 for sure. Super easy to use, doesn't eat a lot of battery, perfect for a fly-in or icefishing.
  14. The wide angle lens isn't helping trying to determining the girth of that thing. I'd guess low 20s for girth.
  15. Are you going to use 12lb for anchor rope?
  16. That never even crossed my mind. Crazy how the years can be so much different. Wait until the water levels drop in Gbay, people will think the world is ending (again, lol)
  17. Proper handling is preached with Muskies Canada. People are still idiots however, you can't stop stupid.
  18. Probably the same guys the paid to join NPS and think they're pro fisherman because of it
  19. Love reading these. Tough fall for me on Gbay, but that's pretty much par for the course in this area. Gotta get out your way!
  20. Josh R noticed that 'pro staffer' last year doing her outfit changes. I remember the original thread, I was dying lol. I've got the screenshots somewhere I'm sure.
  21. You'll be fine with Mediums.
  22. I wonder how many guys are going to break the S-0, C-0 rules and load up their livewells for those double fisted IG and Facebook hero shots? I don't mind the reg changes and I like the fact that they give them a nice break to spawn. I catch way too many bass jerkbait fishing for pike that aren't even close to getting ready to spawn. Hopefully we see this reg in a few other FMZs in the future.
  23. How many guys are going to head to Couch now lol
  24. 2 people on a remote lake didn't catch a single fish? This isn't a lake issue, this is a doing the same thing over and expecting a different result issue. Gotta switch things up a bit until you figure out a pattern.
  25. Awesome!!!!
