  1. Get some Nikwax and spray the suit yourself. I do this to my wading jackets probably once a year or so in order to get the water to bead again.
  2. Hand calc your mileage over an entire tank, MFAs are usually extremely optimistic.
  3. Got 21mpg US out of the oldmans Duramax on our trip out to Brockville last week. Funny what not pulling a boat will do for mileage
  4. I gotta admit, I wouldn't have been able to control myself. I get mad enough with some of the hero drifters in the fall, I can't imagine this.
  5. Nice to see a live one this time around Wayne :)
  6. What brand of reels?
  7. Feathering the line between your two fingers before closing the bail. I do it all the time when making long bomber casts with spoons up on Nipigon for specs. Although that really doesn't have anything to do with how you close the bail :)
  8. 6lb Fireline Crystal would be my choice for an all year line.
  9. Yup, same here.
  10. I had no idea there was good walleye fishing as close to St.Catharines (were I grew up) as there is (sans Lake Erie). Way to go Bruce!
  11. Yup, Mr.Kane learned a hard lesson me thinks (Or maybe he didn't, who knows)
  12. My buddy guesses that deer went probably 220 or so. I'm not too worried, I just need to put more time in the stand. I'm still kicking myself for not taking that spot though! lol!
  13. The service you get some Shimano in Peterborough is just too good. I only send my reels there.
  14. Orange vest was taken off for the pic, tag was put on after we snapped some pics.
  15. Half hour before sunrise and a half hour after sunset is legal. We took the pic well after it was shot.
  16. I didn't shoot it, I just took the pic!
  17. Buddy made the right call and was rewarded with this beast. Took it about 10 mins after sunset, he knew it was coming (Heard it come through the swamp and into the hardwoods) but it was a race between the deer showing up first or darkness.... It's funny though, he told me if it was still light out that he probably wouldn't have taken the shot as he's seen deer quite a bit bigger then this on the property. Personally, if it's got spikes I'm taking it down What a gorgeous animal, fattest deer I've ever seen as well. This thing was an absolute piggy! I'll be back at it next weekend, let's hope my luck turns!
  18. For $100 I'd be buying used. Way better bang for your buck.
  19. Let's hope Bambi comes out to play this weekend!

  20. Go down to Erindale park and check out the Credit. He'll be able to roam around if he gets bored.
  21. Like the people who drag their kids out on Simcoe so they can bring in multiple limits of whitefish? What a crock that is.
  22. See if it's been microchipped. Animal control is the way to go. :EDIT: Seems like you did exactly that, the owners will at least have some closure.
  23. Maybe they'll figure out more enforcement = more fines = more money! They should have a guy living in a tent down at Erindale during the fall
  24. I sold my Kasts almost as soon as I got them. Great gloves, but you aren't steelheading with them on unless you're chucking hardware, even then it would be a tough go. I still end up going back to my Alpaca/ragwool gloves. They can get wet and still stay super warm. I also use a set of Simms Windstopper fingerless gloves when when it's chilly but not super cold. They work well and dry out quick.
