OK as Canada's best near sighted, 6 fingered artist you could imagine I have quite a few unframed works due to high framing costs. A few weeks ago I was in a pine speciality yard and the manager is a carpenter and we got to talkin....so he fixed me up---I stained it but wadda ya think? The Painting "Road To Doon" frame started life meant to be baseboard----unbelievably reasonable cost---here's 2 Bushart

Hey Gerritt, Glad we were able to pull it off within that timeframe, Definetely is a thoughtful thing to do. darn that Misfish guy though---you know them hunters--always lookin for clues, I kept one of the last pics--may give a little clearer view---that canvas was kinda big and all that green really gives a glare in the pic taking. All The Best. Me

Ok MisMan I wanna see pics of venison burgers come November---also you have to pose with the arrow that got it for qualification. Here's a fat one my boy shot---1 round---1 jump----1 batch of canned venison for the painter Bushart

No probs there Mikester---not gonna get on the bad side of a guy who catches a steelhead like in your avatar Your comment was calm and civil compared to some of the stuff flowin---like this poor kid who got pulled through the wringer backwards cause he kept a 5 lb fish to eat. Here he is proud as a new poppa and wham right between the lookers. Funny when a couple 5's get killed in the name of tourney $$$$$ --it did'nt draw the same fire----it was ok'd cause they were'nt wasted and eaten---same result as the kid---go figure. Thus my reply to this thread

Is'nt a sucker just a big minnow????---like 5 bucks a doz down at the corner bait dealer---suckers if you so desire. for lake trout. So I would trust that anyone who would dump on this post over a minnow would never have baited a hook with one in the past. Man this uber conscience police stuff gets a little carried away at times----here's a novel idea----go fishin Bushart

Looks Great Profisher---really puttin on a clinic Don't let the unofficial OFC conscience patrol rattle ya bud---I eat some bigger fish also from time to time Pretty sure thats why mankind tried fishing to begin with They're probably bugged cause they can't catch em that big---that's what I used to say if I shot a 4 point buck that I was lettin the big ones go to breed----see I can be a conservationist You get an official attaboy---looked like fun Bushart

This is fire season ya know ya gotta watch what ya light even on OFC ..... I just got in after cleanin my 60 inch musky and read this and it got me to thinkin about the time I was fishin bass in April or was it May and I recall Thinkin to myself that I wish these fish I was catchin and givin to my good Asian Buddy for his white pail would be better if they were Lake Ontario Atlantics bout say 20 inchers----hard to tell an Atlantic though so I just keep em all for my freezer. Anyway I digress .... I remember watchin this guy in a boat at the mouth of Bronte creek lininin salmon with a bag of Stay-Pufts and I laughed to myself knowing the guy really did'nt know anything about the sport cause he was runnin a console----rookies!! Ya know I'm pretty sure the Americans invented snaggin salmon... Chill boys Bushart

Off on a tangent again---everytime I hear the story about these nice people that go around shooting wild horses out in BC and some in Alberta I wanna get a hold of ole Billy Jack-----"You know Jane and the kids want me to remain calm...." here's my latest "Winter Pasture" Bushart

To vacation in a spot and to move your life to that spot are not even in the same park. Your Spidey Sense is trying to enlighten you--listen to it. I too have moved around lots.. You currently live in a place that 3/4 of the world is trying to get to. If you have stability and a level of satisfaction now--I say stay.. Man your catchin browns I'm really envious of. Beaches and volleyball are in the brochures but what your changeing will be your culture Sleep on it. Bushart

Ok I have an experience... some years ago I was driving through the Rocky mtns ---anyway to keep this short I looked on my map and figured out a shortcut that would take me and the family into Kamloops. started headin down this mountain in my ext cab truck with "automatic transmission"---all looking at the beautiful scenery---noticed sign saying this decline had 5 runaway truck lanes. Anyway this puppy went downhill forever---I periodically stepped on brake to slow us down but half way down the mountain the pedal got a little spongy. Sooo I seen a pull over area and got int it a literally stood on the brakes to get us stopped.--it did and the wheels were smokin when we got out.. Now remember where we are-----so here we are half way down a mountain at a rest stop and you bet---here comes a bear.---Soooeveryone back into the truck. After some time---bear gone --wheels cooled I put it in***** Low gear***** and made it safely into Kamloops to have my truck looked at. Mechanic says it's quite common---called Brake Fade---I guess what happens trying to slow yourself down with the brakes is you actually boil the brake fluid and create a vapor spot making brakes spongy Cure-- gear down going down those mtns even with an automatic---sorry for length Bushart PS My wife wonders why I drink?

I too have/had a Garmin 160----one of the biggest mistakes on eqpt. Hardly had it any time and it just quit-----it was only a second finder for my boat so not a real biggie---my main finder is Lowrance-----hard to beat that baby Bushart

Yeah but like the "Dawg" was sayin your not eatin the slime---and I'm sure has a touch of bacteria in it. Best to err on the side of caution here---sometimes the simplest looking of injuries can turn into big problems unattended. Bushart

Maybe a trip to the doctor is in order---a few years back I knew someone that got blood poisoning from a good jab from a fish. keep an eye on it for sure Bushart

Sometimes between projects I'll start a painting without any idea where it may go. I do this because more times than not a new idea or technique comes of it that you could use down the road. Also works for fishing. Anyway I had a few spare minutes yesterday and now the wife has claimed it for a spot on the kitchen wall that she thought needed something. Somewhat non descript and a touch impressionistic. Bushart
