  1. I don't believe Big Cliff needs to give anything a rest. He's entitled to his opinion just like you are.
  2. Honda makes some great vehicles. It's just a shame they don't build a V-8 engine to get some real pulling power in the Pilot and or Ridgeline.
  3. In that area, I would recommend the first 2 weeks of July or better yet the last week of June. Good Luck.........and have fun.
  4. I figure since I no longer bother to purchase a license, why bother with silly restrictions they keep coming up with. Catch a fish, eat the fish.......can't get simpler then that.
  5. I think a LOT of the fish I'm after have read that warning.............
  6. You have a $1000 deductible on "comp".....if so that's quite unusual.
  7. It that what the charge is now.........we haven't had to pay to see a movie in over 15 years. Just gotta know the right people at the theater.....only thing we have to go to the matinee's only.......but we have seen hundreds of free movies over the years. Love the BIG SCREEN to watch movies.........
  8. WOW.........hope to be there in Feb......
  9. Crazy Horse isn't anywhere near being finished and they charge you to see it where Mount Rushmore was free and finished.
  10. They look to see who you voted for in the last election.........LOL
  11. I'm sorry, I misinterpreted your post. In all the years of hunting DEER I have only turned up my scope once to shoot a doe in the head at 153 yards. It was the only thing showing and I'm more amazed I seen her with my naked eye in the first place.
  12. You should never have your scope turned to anything but the lowest setting while hunting. The reason is if you see a deer close up you will have hard time finding it in the scope because the field of view narrows a LOT on the higher settings. Also if a deer comes running through your area you have no chance to find it in the scope on a higher setting. If a deer is sighted at a long distance you usually have plenty of time to turn the scope up to zoom in on that kind of shot. And one last thing is if a scope is turned up to the higher settings it will not gather as much light at dawn and dusk when deer are most active so you might have difficulty in seeing it in the scope. BTW there really is not a huge target to shoot at on a deer if you want to make a quick humane shot. It's about 9" at most, the size of a paper plate and then the area closes in depending on the angle of the shot on how the deer is set up for that given shot. I have had shots where my only choice was a neck shoot just below the head. This is where all that sighting in that scope comes to pay off with lots of practice too.
  13. Because your one day remembrance day each year doesn't help them stay afloat. When was the last time you sent them a Thank You Card with a check in it.
  14. OK, I am not familiar with the Pine Ridge line of scopes but if it's not defective it should sill hold zero at 3 all the to 9 power setting. Cabela's does have some of the very best customer service in the retail market so if you believe it's defective don't hesitate to return it, they will take care of you. Proper sighting in a scope could literley takes hours if you do it right. You must have a good solid bench / table to shoot off and SAND BAGS to rest the gun. Get the gun on paper at 25 yards then move the target to 100 yards. I usually sight in all my deer rifles 2-3" high at 100 yards depending on caliber. Remember when sighting in the gun NOT to let the barrel get hot because now every shot with a hot barrel will be different then when the barrel is cold......and it will be cold when you shoot that monster buck. Most good rifles nowadays can shoot 1" groups or smaller at 100 yards but not all. Cheap rifles or bad rifles you may never get better then 2-3" groups at 100 yards where that fine rifle will shoot clover leafs at 100 yards. If you are not getting good groups at 100 yards and you know your scope is tight, trying changing to a different ammo manufacture. My all time favorite is still Winchester Super X Power Points. You do NOT have to pay 3 times the amount for expensive ammo to kill a deer. If you need more help, just ask.....remember it can be a long process sometimes but VERY rewarding one once you get it right.
  15. Problem solved ....... http://www.cabelas.com/product/atv-tek-gun-racks-150-v-grip/847409.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch.cmd%3Fform_state%3DsearchForm%26N%3D0%26fsch%3Dtrue%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3Datv%252Bgun%252Brack%26x%3D10%26y%3D6%26WTz_l%3DHeader%253BSearch-All%252BProducts&Ntt=atv+gun+rack
  16. What brand of scope is this. I have never seen a 2-9X scope before.
  17. THANK YOU so much for posting that because I was unaware..... After some digging I found the closest other toll road in the states which in this case is the NYS Thruway....the compared costs is SHOCKING to say the least. If you travel the NYS Thruway with their EZPASS tag similar to the ETR system you are paying on average of ONLY 4.5 cents per mile compared to the ETR of paying as much as 34.73 cents per km......I didn't realize it was this much out of wack.
  18. I'm glad you're happy with the ETR..........but did you hear the latest rumor (could be just that) that the ETR is considering charging more during rush hours then off hours, much like the hydro meters work.......errrrrrrrrr ! ! !
  19. Not if you're concerned about a sail above the cab roof line................................
  20. The second one that folds up looks just like mine but mine does not fold up. I really like the aluminum for lightness and non-corrosive reasons.
  21. Actually it travels very well....just use racket straps to secure to the truck. I always put a blanket over my tailgate to prevent any scratches on my truck. Wish I had pics to show you but I'm sure you know get the idea. The cargo carrier is well below the tailgate once the sled is off it so it doesn't even come close to being in the way while loading the ATV into the back of the truck via ramps. These hitch mounted cargo carriers are a gods send IMHO. I have move a LOT of extra stuff with them, mostly for my sons when they went to college, move out of college and move into a new house then again when they move to another house. They must think dad's a small moving company by now....LOL
  22. Yes, it's smaller in height but you can still STAND it up your sled on the cargo rack. You load the ATV into your truck bed first, close the tailgate and STAND up the sled onto the cargo rack and tie it down with secure strapping. Then of course unload the sled first, fold down the tailgate and drive off the ATV via the ramps.
  23. I use a cargo rack and it works great. I stand up my Clam shell on it so it doesn't stick out. And the cargo rack does not interfere with loading my ATV using ramps as they bridge over the top of the cargo rack.
  24. And you say you never get anything from the government. Well you better keep that email and treasure it because that's all you are ever getting from the government except for new and higher taxes.....
  25. Well, she's never seen a tax she didn't like ....
