  1. Another example of the Dodge fish finder.......
  2. I guess they never got one of these calls at Tim Horton's ......
  3. I just tried to call this number back through my computer and it say's it's no longer in service.
  4. Now new cars don't even come with CD players but rather Blue Tooth connection for your phone or ipod.......Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
  5. The "Dodge" fish finder is a string with a used spark plug tied to it to check the bottom.
  6. You have one of their older trailers that might have been built much better and under much stricter guide lines.
  7. I had a TeeNee boat trailer under my last boat and it lasted almost 30 years without any of problems some of these newer E-Z Loader Trailer owner's are experiencing.......... As a matter of fact if I did have all those problems I would be very upset because this is not rocket science stuff.......it's just a simple boat trailer ! ! !
  8. You might want to read this before diving head first into a E-Z Loader trailer.. http://www.bbcboards.net/showthread.php?t=686509
  9. My trailer is a tube style trailer and it wasn't custom built. http://www.trailmastertrailers.com/trailmaster_models.php?brand=trailmaster_tube I have this Trailmaster Tube Premium Single Axle and it's Tundra coated. (scroll down to the second trailer picture) PC1824 18 2400 2995 205/75R14C
  10. Lowrance Touch Screens blows the doors of Hummingturd...... About 2 years ago I was fishing Lake Erie out of Point Abino and met up with my brother in-law who was in his boat. We were slowly trolling with our TM pulling worm harnesses for walleyes. I kept finding scattered walleyes laying on the bottom and would circle them to get them to bite. Brother in-law kept saying he didn't see anything on the bottom with his Hummingturd..............I shared some of my catch with him.
  11. A galvanized OR a Tundra (a Line X type of coating) coated trailer is a good idea here in our weather.. Bunks are usually a better choice to support your boat's hull........rollers have the tendency to punch the hull where they are, especially if you travel over bad roads.
  12. There is a much larger show just across the boarder that the wife and I might attend this afternoon. http://www.the-fairgrounds.com/event/march-5-8-wny-sport-adn-travel-expo/ More info I just found..... http://www.eriepromotions.com/sport/default.aspx
  13. So Hillary would be Falling Down Doe Doe Bird..........LOL...........
  14. Not if he put it in a white bucket.........LOL
  15. I have a 2015 Polar Kraft Frontier 179 WT..........built like a TANK..........
  16. The reason you see more and more shingles and even siding blow off newer built home is because they no longer use real plywood on the roofs and walls of these homes. Years ago it was clap board on the walls and roof......then it went to plywood that also held the nails very good. Now you have particle board on the roof and walls and that stuff doesn't hold the nails well enough to handle the high winds. Next after a good wind while driving to work or wherever, take the time to see what house have shingles and siding coming off.....it's mostly the newer constructed homes because of what I mentioned above.
  17. I agree with you but the format works here so when I really want good fishing related info I go here...Walleye central.
  18. Ya, go figure.........why hasn't anyone ever told us this before......
  19. Not the Lowe's I have seen at Cabela's.........CHEAP and bad fit and finish. If it's Lund or Lowe go Lund all the way.
  20. If you really want the sound from a cell phone to greatly improve just place the cell phone in a ceramic coffee mug and hear the HUGE difference.
  21. Funny you mentioned this because I took my old Saturn radio they gave me in 1995 when we asked for a radio with a CD player..........so I took this am/fm Saturn radio and mounted it under the dash so the face of it was sticking out just a little more out then even with the dash and ran silicone calking where the top of the radio met the dash.......that radio never have me any problems for the next 20+ years and got better reception then my new "marine am/fm/CD radio from the factory. And the speaker were just cheap car speakers that I hung facing down under neath the gunnels.....nothing special and both the radio and speakers seen PLENTY of rain over the years. The most important thing on a boat radio is the ANTENNA believe it or not......if you like to listen to sports shows or ball games while fishing get a good CAR antenna for the boat.
  22. Sound GREAT and you know you can ALWAYS stop down here and rest on the way to your winter resting place......................................we are just 2 years from Winter Haven, FL for our winters.
  23. Cliff, I agree with everything you have said but really really concerned with how many years you can drive a huge motor home. Hopefully Sue can drive it if you have any set backs in the next couple of years. I REALLY wish both of you well..........and the wife and I will never forget the time we spent together at you beautiful home that one special June week........ BTW are you still making that special shrimp I showed you how to make LOL
  24. Within 4-5 years you might just regret selling your home and you become older and tire of living in a motor home. PLEASE rethink this again. Think about this instead.........I know you want to get away from our tough winters so look at a final destination on the west coast I believe your interested in.......this summer drive down there with Sue enjoying the sites on the way down.......find a campground that you like for whatever your reasons are. These campgrounds usually have season trailers all set up that people are always trying to sell.....you can buy them for 40 cents on the dollar and just move in come fall and move out come spring. Get yourself a nice conversion van for the trips down there and the way back that the 2 of you can spend a night or two and enjoy traveling to your winter escape. Come early summer you head back to your "summer home on the lake"........maybe rent out your house to college students during the school year....the timing for that is perfect for you.
