For what they are charging you, they should of dropped off a cow for Christmas.

I have been stiffed every time I have used it and so has everyone else........the toll rates are outrages compared to other toll roads I have used in the states, about 10X what the states charge per mile.

Yes, this is true. However, it will not taste the same because of how LEAN most wild game meat is compared to ground beef. For venison or moose I treat it the same and use the ground meat without adding and pork or other foreign meat to it. But I do NOT use ground venison/moose for hamburgers because of how dry and sometime gammie it can taste. So I use it to make meatballs, chili, tacos and nachos with it and no one knows the difference. I have made meatloaf with it, but wasn't overall satisfied with it because it was extremely dry.

WOW, nice muskies Mike... Your da MUSKY man ! ! ! That area your fishing sure beats the bajesus out of trolling GB around in circles for 60+ hours hoping for one strike. Hope to get up to your waters next year so leave a few for me OK...

Ontario has laws against EVERYTHING....... I would seek to purchase a retired houseboat from one of many companies on the Kawarthan Lakes....use it all summer long and have the company where you purchased it, store it for the winter and maybe use it where it's stored if you strike up a good deal with them.

Ya, just attach a bobber just in case....LOL

You have basically the same set up as we have right down to the BBG on NG and my bills are very similar. My highest hydro bill is always in the summer with the central air running. Wife loves her A/C even at times when I don't think it's necessary. So with that said my highest hydro bill in the summer is around $120-$140 range, but it could be cut significantly if my wife would cooperate. You gotta love a house that has been highly insulated and other measures taken to keep those utility bills down.......now my largest bill is the satellite bill but that's discounted as of December 13th......screw them too.....LOL

I have them on my new trailer, but as everyone already mentioned they are better because they will not blow if you don't unplug during launching. But where they also shine (pun intended) is there no longer a problem with just having a little bit of corrosion on the bulb contacts that cause the bulb to go out half way home or just before your ready to leave on a early morning fishing trip.

I have a hip roof on my garage that houses my boat. Above the boat are two large shelf spaces that span the complete width of the garage in the front and to the rear of the garage. Between these huge attic spaces it is open where I can stand up when the boat is in the garage and literally pick and choose what fishing gear I need for the next fishing trip if it's not already in the boat. In the front attic shelf space is my heavier gear like downriggers, cannon balls extra tackle boxes, etc..... In the rear attic shelf space is my lighter stuff which is mostly rods and reel and related gear. I have used this system for over 30+ years and it works great. I get in the boat the day before I'm going fishing and in my mind I go over the equipment need to fish that day and see if it's already in the boat or needs to be selected from my above storage space which is all within reach while I'm standing in the boat. I would guess these 2 storage spaces are 12' wide by at least 8' deep EACH. Holds a lot of stuff....some that should be discarded but you all know how that works.... Sorry no pictures at this time.

Has she got her heart set on destroying this province?

It's not very often, but still a bit disturbing that someone quotes themselves....LOL.... -

I like that.....privately sponsored to get them into the country and then what......the sponsor teaches them how to sign up for public funds like a hole let loose in a Kawarthan dam. We can't take care of our own but always have enough funds to take care of outsiders. I could never figure out how they manage that one. -
Niagara River & Niagara Bar - what do I need???
Mister G replied to KraTToR's topic in General Discussion
Evidently you have never fished the lower Niagara River and maybe should not be giving advise on something you know little or nothing about. Now your friend might have some good incite on the lower river. First a float suit is NOT mandatory on the NYS side, but rather you must wear a life jacket whenever the boat is under power from November 1st to May 1st. Devils Hole area can get BUSY at times but I would not even suggest anyone who has never fished the lower river to even try that area as it can be intimidating at times and down right dangerous just getting up there. I have fished many areas of the lower river without ever using my trolling motor......most times it really is not necessary depending on the wind of the day. Not having a TM should not discourage anyone from fishing the lower river. I would not depend on satellite images to determine the water clarity of the lower river......as I said once before, the winds leading up to the day of your trip is what I would go by. Most guys that plan a trip leave before the sun is up and the satellite images at night are useless. And if it's a heavy north wind, just stay home because you cannot drift a northern flow river with northern wind. Not good drifting up river while you line is floating down river......talk about SNAGS ! ! ! A normal SW wind on Lake Erie will not effect your trip.....however, heavy winds for a day or two prior to your trip might kill the bite on the lower river. You are correct about once Lake Erie freezes over the bite gets better because now you have constant clear waters to fish. BTW for those recommending fishing the Niagara Bar rather then drifting the river.........that's OK and could be very good advise, however you will probably just catch lake trout on the bar that are not in season right now........but up the river near the launch are great drifts that will get you brown trout, some lakers and the most sought after fish....the STEELHEAD ! ! ! ..... now you're talking some fun action. -
Niagara River & Niagara Bar - what do I need???
Mister G replied to KraTToR's topic in General Discussion
I'm not sure why Chris thinks getting a NYS license is a PITA......at least not anymore since one can be had via the internet in minutes. Conditions on the lower river are just as important if not more then anywhere else......high north winds...STAY HOME....also if there have been a lot of heavy winds on Lake Erie for a while just before your trip will muddy up the river and kill the bite. Other things you mentioned like rain or snow means just about nothing other then comfort problems for the anglers aboard. -

Mister G replied to KraTToR's topic in General Discussion
I agree on getting a NYS fishing license, at least the one day license and see how you like the river. With both licenses you have better options on where you might fish depending on wind. Queenston launch is your best option. I haven't fished the lower river in some time but I would think at this time of the year Quick Fish lures might be your best option. Use a med heavy spinning rod with 10-12# mono line and a 3 way with the one once sinker on only 6# test line. Be prepared for many snags at first. Watch others and don't be afraid to join them, however always give other anglers lots of space between your boat and theirs. No need to crowd them even though your drifting the same drifts. The bar is a LONG ride down river.......If I were you I would skip that drift for another day and for now just learn the drifts near the launch on both sides of the river. DRESS WARM as if you were going ice fishing. Good Luck and have FUN ! ! ! -
OK BOSS .....sorry I hurt your feelings.

Yep, it's a great movie but as I said it starts off slow........and by the end of the show you gotta LOVE Margie. BTW do you know where I can get something to eat around here that's reasonable..........LOL
-
Now that's funny and you are REALLY reaching for something there, but you're not getting it done IMHO.
-
Please show me where I have offended anyone......Wayne used profanity towards me for no reason whatsoever but I'm being attacked by his posse and I don't understand why. I guess not being in the "clique" as others have PMed me explains it best.
-
Sorry you are both offended by what you don't know and what you don't understand. I'm glad KraTToR got it and enjoyed the movie as well.
-
So you're hoping I going to be ModQ for being friendly.......WOW.....really WOW.
-
Don't waste your money.
-
OK Margie......if you say so........Ya.....LOL..........

If you really think that ice anglers have caused the population of walleyes in the Kawarthan's to crash......then you need to get out of the box and think again.
