  1. jesus that is ridiculously bad i get 30 lol! or 25 US whatever you use...the truck reads in Litres per 100...i average about 9.2
  2. im driving a 2016 eco diesel and i friggin love it so far...better looking than the ford, drives better than the ford and gets stupid mileage. Ya if i could afford a GMC id buy one...but who has 100k for a truck?
  3. im using a g loomis GL2 jig n worm 7 footer with a Shimano Ci4. Fast tip as i dont think you need extra fast for wacky, its not like drop shotting where you need that power right off of the hit..usually i like to let the bass eat the worm for a sec before setting the hook meanwhile while you are drop shotting especially deep, your hook sets are a lot shorter and can be required immediately if you get a good tug. I prefer to rig my whack rigs weightless using a gamakatsu whacky hook...they just seem to hold up better than anything, especially the wire. I pick apart pockets and edges, the bass cant seem to resist that slow wiggling fall.
  4. gotta love how simple it can sometimes be. proof that it doesnt take a heck of a lot to just get out there and get fishing. Thanks for the report and to many more personal best fish to you guys!
  5. still the best clamp on out there IMO https://www.sail.ca/en/down-east-salty-rod-holder-down-east-409858 hits muskys going 4.5mph and doesnt even budge
  6. you can go ahead and send 300 people on a wild goose chase 2 days into the bush to try find some lake like a needle in a hay stack...at best 1 will find it...who cares
  7. mike has now got his own thread on the US bass boats forum and was featured in the conservative tribune! http://conservativetribune.com/man-refused-to-locate-fishing-hole/?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=WesternJournalism&utm_content=2017-08-08&utm_campaign=manualpost As grimsby said, you hope this exposure makes it all worth it for the headache that mike is dealing with.
  8. my flight to yellowknife is already booked...got a great deal on airfaire...maybe an OFC group buy??? shows how much I know! although, i swear to god ive used a regular hose to level something before with my dad (old farmer trick) although im sure 100% accuracy was also not a requirement.
  9. ive been creeping this thread for years but have never commented and I dont know why. Its perhaps one of my favourites though. keep up the good work! i still remember when you were leveling your foundation posts using a water hose!
  10. Amen hahaha people will read things how they want them to be read, that also means they will change your very own words to make it say what they think they want you to say. It was pretty clear that you were pointing out that this guy eats all the musky that he catches regardless of size and legality.
  11. There is multiple families everywhere now...the best part is that they also keep the commorants in check. Saw a big one bullying a whole group of commorants in the fall they wanted nothing to do with its 7 foot wingspan
  12. within the past 25 years of going to georgian bay...i only started seeing bald eagles within the past 5 years and now i see them quite frequently. What we are doing to reduce pesticide use like DDT is working, and the proof is in the sky! Ive seen some other rather rare birds randomly showing up now too...sandhill cranes, bald eagles, golden eagles
  13. Its a shame your shop is all the way in London Dan...if you were within an hour of the GTA id be taking my vehicles to you.
  14. coming from snowmobiling, i know amsoil makes an equivalent...might be worth looking into. its a little cheaper than skidoo specific oil, but amsoil products are high quality, i would argue perhaps even higher quality than OEM
  15. you guys have convinced me to continue on with the process thanks for the comments. Bunk...dont even get me started about lengths of reports! I risk getting fired from my job every time i read through one of yours...hours of tales of monster fish is just too good not to read. Im still only half way through your most recent one! thanks again guys
  16. i cant believe my tax dollars are being spent to pay someone at the government to address these kinds of idiotic requests. What a joke. If only the community could figure out who this clown is...
  17. same deal water is extremely high, surface temps around 70 as of Sunday most likely higher now due to the heat wave...but not significantly. Thermocline was still only about 6 feet down and its cold down there.
  18. i guarantee a lobster tastes about 10000x better than a carp lol
  19. thanks guys, not sure if I will post another for a long while..not many people seem to care too much these days for the amount of work it takes to put one of these together, itd be almost easier to just have a conversation one on one with the few people that view the reports haha. I guess im just not political enough
  20. im pretty sure they have to honour their posted price...legally they dont have any option regardless of how bad the screw up is.
  21. this... i got intel on a few local ponds that held largies but never got the chance to give it a go. I saw some kids targeting them on a golf course in pitt meadows, they were jumping everywhere would have been easy fishing ive also heard that the smallmouth fishing can bring 8lbers in the kootenays but no one knows how nor give s a single turd about it.
  22. i personally think you will have a lot more luck on the east side of georgian bay. The water this year is unusually cool so the smallies are still relating to shore and shoals. find a hump or point and throw jerkbaits or top waters if its early...youll smash bass and pike all day. I fished a completely new area in pointe au baril this weekend and boated 9 smallies and 2 pike in about 3 hours just floating around some islands and shoals. easy shooting.
  23. lol...CFL has the league folded yet? or are they going to continue to keep letting it die off in alignment with the fanbase that is dying off of old age. I dont know a single person under the age of 50 years old that watches the CFL.
