  1. this is exactly what I was trying to get at...my lingo may be a bit wrong im not a battery/wiring expert. I wasnt sure if you could charge your two 12v batteries for the trolling motor as a 24v system by placing them in series. I have my answer, you can indeed do this....i guess the downfall is that the charging time would literally be doubled compared to running them parallel. Bill do you connect a bank to your starting motor at all or simply one to the troller batteries and one to the electronics exclusive battery?
  2. you could catch nothing and its still worth going out.
  3. bunk where the heck were you that you stumbled upon this kid? It sounds like the little guy was friggin lucky that you were the first guy on the scene?! holy cow
  4. a close friend bought some crank baits and top waters from them, they looked pretty good but the quality was absolute garbage.
  5. im trying to confirm my understanding, but if you are running a 24v trolling motor set up you would require a 3 bank minimum because the two trolling motor batteries wont charge in sequence. Then your third bank is for your starting motor correct?
  6. i feel like a replacement prop on a boat that size would cost nearly the same to get one repaired. I recently picked up a prop for $110 shipped out of the states
  7. like most things in life, they are what you make of them. Christmas can be crap if you make it that way....hell i know people that can have a bad time fishing!
  8. we went for a quick peak as it started, its friggin cool...weve got the glasses. Ive never looked at the sun before...it was neat enough to just do that.
  9. 2 hours of fishing, 17lbs of smallies, and a 20lb pike...dece morning

  10. co-worker booked a meeting at 2 lol were going to the park to check it out....not a cloud in the sky here.
  11. we are in need of a bank charger for the alumacraft. So...as such what do you guys have in the boat? What are you experiences with them?
  12. great report mike, thanks for posting, and holy crap impressive breaking 5 that many times in one trip. Right on.
  13. unreal bill...im still waiting for my first chunky one from that neck of the woods. Glad to see everything worked out with the unit as well! Im still actively shopping for an upgrade on the graph for the front of my boat as well! The muskys have indeed been active, I caught one two weeks ago (not nearly this huge) and saw multiple surfacing this past weekend while trolling eyes...Pops also slapped a 40+ inch pike this past weekend. I think the mild summer has got the big fish frisky.
  14. to top it off buddy was purposely hiding his over limit walleye in another location of his boat. Friggin dink I think the even bigger problem here is that these dinks do this, get caught and only get a 1,500 dollar fine? Im gonna go drive 200kmh on the 401 what kind of trouble I would be in? Your car gets impounded, your license gets suspended and you get between a 2-10 thousand dollar fine. We need to toughen up the regs on these bum holes...With how little enforcement exists out there, the penalties need to be much much more severe. Their fishing licenses should 100% be suspended for a very long extended period, heck suspend their boating license as well. The fines need to increase as well.
  15. stayed at pigeon lake resort last october...place was legit, dunno about pricing? but had everything you could ever need and the musky fishing right in front of the resort is bar none.
  16. I only paid 5 grand more for the eco? and resale on diesels is way way way higher than gassers...
  17. not to mention when diesel is cheaper than gas a lot of the time Did a 14 hour drive down to Alabama in the spring, total fuel cost was absolutely stupid...i think we filled up twice? $200 bucks between 3 people, and then we camped? I literally drove and then stayed in alabama for 4 days for less than $100 lol
  18. a lot of this has to do with variable valve timing and the 8 speed transmissions they are throwing in rams. The eco diesel 8 speed just gets ridiculous mileage. it gets a quarter better mileage than my 2.0 litre in line 4 banger protege! that car was stripped down like crazy too weighed around 2,000lbs!
  19. yes sometimes, but it has actually reduced my number of hook ups...sounds ridiculous but i notice a difference for sure.
  20. This... i literally used 1 single yum dinger for an entire weekend and caught over 15 fish on one worm. Its true the yamasenkos have that ridiculous wobble, but i get p-oed when i cast and they rip in half.
  21. you dont say???!!!! i was asking about imperial vs US gallons...see how stupid that system is...not only do 128 ounces make a gallon...we have two types of gallons? whatever idiot came up with this garbage needs to be shot. How about 1000 mililiters is a litre, 1000 litres of water is a cubic meter of water, a cubic meter of water weighs one ton...H20 freezes at 0 and boils at 100...nah...this is all too confusing lolllll
  22. ahhhh fisherman, youve got the eco diesel just like me...now i understand. I thought you guys were all saying you were getting that mileage on V8 half tons...which would be a lie...i believe you 100% When i was driving down to alabama we were getting 8.2 going 110 as well. 25mpg in a tundra is total lieesss Eco diesel team representing those low mileage ratings! been loving the fact that diesel has been 10cents per litre cheaper around where i live too! ha ha!
  23. im sorry but seriously, how in the heck can you guys claim to be getting an average 8.x litres or even 7.something litres per 100 in a v8 half ton...i call Bull you may be hitting those for a second? but lets talk long term averages mixing city and highway. Something doesn't add up here? You cant even get 7L/100 in a friggin naturally aspirated 4 banger sedan..you think you can pull that off in a truck? you can make all the claims about efficiency you want but science is science and something is fishy lol For the sake of the fact that we are indeed canadian, can we agree to speak in Litres per 100k. the metric system is nice like that. Not to mention, are we talking US gallons or imperial...like forget that garbage...lets talk in a language that actually makes sense...AKA canadian english.
