  1. I am using a Logitech QuickCam Communicate STX and I don't have any complaints. Takes great video and it is easy to send video as an email. Sometimes my window locks up but that is only when I use full screen viewing(Full Screen Picture). I am fairly sure that all I need to do is add more memory to my computer to solve that problem. Tom
  2. Oh, and don't forget ................ NO SMILING .............. That isn't allowed either when you get your Passport photo taken! Tom

    Spell Check?

There is a small program called "Tiny Spell" which I find very handy when I need a spell checker. This page has all the info about it and the download. Tiny Spell There is a payware version and a free version. I have been using the freeware version of Tiny Spell for a long time now. It just sits in your tray and tells you when you make a spelling mistake by changing color and plays a sound. You can disable the sound if you want. It doesn't matter what program you are using or if you are online or offline, Tiny Spell follows every word you type and notify's you if you make a mistake. If certain words are not in its dictionary and you know the spelling is correct then you can add them to Tiny Spells dictionary. You can use Tiny Spell with the spell checker on this site or any other site and just use it as back up if you want. Tom
  4. I loved the "Hosers"! Bob and Doug McKenzie. The Great White North. "how's it goin .... eh?" and "take off ..... eh!" John Candy was a favourite. A very funny man. I loved almost everything he did. SCTV always made me laugh. Tom
  5. I'm still getting them. Just received one early this evening. I have received about 10 or more in the last week or so. Usually I don't take the time to look at them. I just delete them. This last one I decided to look at because of this thread. At the end of the email there was a small paragraph that looked like it had been taken out of a book. I couldn't understand why the small paragraph was there. If they wanted to make the email look official they certainly destroyed its credibility with that paragraph included. No bank would send you that nonsense. Tom
  6. Thank you Hawkeye, I appreciate the feedback. I didn't realize that the temperature on the 14 day weather trend could change so much in just a couple of hours. Wow!! The trend doesn't seem to be favoring ice making for awhile, whether it is +10 or +1 Tom.
  7. Am I looking in the wrong place? Are you sure you are talking about Keswick Ontario? Keswick, New Brunswick has temps almost that high in the 14 day trend but not Keswick Ontario. Maybe there is a fuddle duddle somewhere. Tom.
  8. What a beautiful fish, Sandy. Love the pattern on the fish, WOW. Tom
  9. CONGRATULATIONS to your daughter and her future husband Eddy! LOL Tom
  10. Big soft snowflakes are slowly drifting to the ground now Lew and starting to stay. I use to like seeing those big, soft snow flakes slowly drift to the ground, so quiet and peaceful. But not anymore, I have been spoiled and don't want the real winter to come back. I figure if we can go this far without serious snow then there is no need to start now. If the weather network is correct then we aren't going to get much and once again the "warmer" temperatures should take it away. The 14 day trend for this area on Jan 10 is only about +1C. Of course we are a little north of the banana belt. Tom

  15. Thank you JFR. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family. "When you sit to dinner tomorrow, please pause for a moment and think about our troops in harms way, and their families, and give thanks to these brave men and women who give us these very freedoms." I agree with the above wholeheartedly. Tom

  21. Merry Christmas Spiel, DanC, Marty, Muskiestudd, Rick, Roy, and TJQ. (I hope I didn't miss anyone) I also hope Santa won't have a problem with his sleigh and no snow tonight . I don't think he will because he will probably still have on his summer runners or all season's. Wishing the best to all of you and your families. Tom

  23. If you did what GBfisher said and still no luck, then this might help you. Which Avg product? Antivirus? Anti Spyware? What version? The Anti Spyware that Avg has now was called Ewido Anti-Malware and owned by a German based company called Ewido. Ewido Anti-malware was bought by the AVG maker Grisoft and is now called AVG Anti-Spyware. If it is the Avg Anti-Spyware that you are using and you want to make an exception then open Avg Anti-Spyware and at the top of the page you will see all the Menu Icons. Click on "Infections" and this will take you to "Quarantine" Tab. Beside the Quarantine tab you will see the "Exceptions" tab, click on it and at the bottom left you will see "Add Rule" button. When you click on Add Rule a small window will pop up and ask for the name of the threat or the path to the threat that you want to ignore. Fill that out and click ok. I have the payware version of Avg Anti-Spyware and have never had to put in an exception, but then again I have never had Limewire on my PC either. I just hope that by making an exception for Limewire you are not setting yourself up for a lot of spyware hurt in the future, so make sure you have a version of Limewire that has no spyware on it. If it is the Avg Anti-virus program that you installed and causing your problem you will have to get info from someone who uses it. Tom
