  1. nice to have a low ratio cranker around...if you need to burn in a crankbait, that's what sweeping the rod is for. If you're going to have a few reels, may as well have a few different ratios
  2. Compre compre compre
  3. I've only skimmed over this, as I'm at work, but you can see the progression of your skills over the summer -- way to go, and thanks for sharing!!!
  4. *gasp* When, oh when am I going to get to BOQ?!?! Thanks for posting, Sam...reports like that keep moving it higher and higher on my list

  6. Yep -- my best buddy is a die-hard collector of both glass and aluminum dimes....it's no sweat for him to pick up $10-$20 a week, and if he wants to try, he can find that in half a day. We never go fishing without coming home with a few extra empties -- keep on keepin' on!
  7. That's it! I'm getting in the Jeep and driving up there now! LOL --- thanks for the great reports...nice to see no stuck trucks in this one

  12. Man, I miss the bass fishing out there...thanks for the report Brings back good memories
  13. This may be a stupid question, but, do you suppose all the fish are just packed into wherever there's a bit of deep water? If you could get to wherever that might be, could you potentially be in for a fun afternoon?
  14. Gotta love the big fat fall bass -- you really took it to 'em! And yeah...I'd like to see the fish that left the teethmarks
  15. Yeah, JR -- that is a new one to me as well, and now my favourite -- it's nice to have the exact location pinned down But here's a question: Do these times account for daylight savings time, or not?
  16. ROTFL -- good post, Dabluz, and excellent quotes, Cudz and Blaque
  17. Beautiful weather, and a very good idea to get out on the water. My parents are having the same difficulties downsizing...well, to be more specific, my mother is It's hard to throw away things that bring back memories, even when you haven't looked at it in years... good luck
  18. I must have drifted off slightly while reading too...I was expecting a somewhat skinny 18" pike -- but that bass is quite respectable -- way to go!
  19. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! It's funny because it's true....
  20. Unbelievable -- another reason to carry a beefy walking stick in bear country....I think Louisville makes a good one....
  21. Definitely start checking out lodges on Nipissing -- for your budget and drive-time, I'm sure you could go have some fun in the West Arm...Lakair, West Nipissing Resort...would be where I would start....good luck!
  22. Wow...having a child myself, I can't imagine the pain you went through...thank you for sharing your story with all of us...God Bless
  23. nice! My buddy went to a lodge up there a couple times...he doesn't take advice well though, so not listening to the lodge owner's advice had him missing out on the sort of stuff you've showed us. Speaking of ice-fishing...is it a busy lake in the winter?
