  1. When someone starts selling cars without a service department to fix'em, THAT'S the car I'll buy!
  2. Nice lead in....I recognized the clip as soon as it started rolling though...
  3. I'd try a white tube jig tipped with a minnow or slathered in scent....
  4. WWWWOOOOOWWWWW!!!!!!!!! Nice one! Did you go back out to that spot to try for more later on in your trip???? I mean...walleye tend to congregate in the same size range, don't they?
  5. MMMM....nothing like a tasty Muskie... Just kidding! My favourite fish to eat is the first eater-sized one of the camping trip...the quicker to the pan, the better!
  6. Really nice report....great story about Bear and an even better ending
  7. Bionic blade is a great rod lineup...I wouldn't feel bad about any of them. However, I cart my one-piece 7 footer and 6 footer in my little 2-door Neon without much grief. As long as you feel good about the rod you choose, you'll be fine...but if you really want a one piece...fitting it in the car really won't be much hassle in the end.
  8. there was a thread on this a while ago, about using a different container altogether....
  9. Yessssss!!!!!
  10. The last time I was there, a guy was catching rainbows from shore...casting a spinner of one of the long rocky points. He was doing well early in the morning, and I would venture to say it was not this late in the summer....we did go swimming, so I would say it was probably June. Other than that, DEFinitely take a look at google maps and see if you can't spec out any drive-to lakes...tons of good fishing in the general area.
  11. very cool report! Thanks for sharing
  12. Awesome shot of that pike...nice bass pics too....from where I'm sitting [on the couch!]

  14. Hey -- no picture, but a great re-telling! Love the shaky leg!!! And congrats --- that is a really nice fish...destroys my pb picker-eye

  17. Limey -- you are livin' the life up there! Well done...and you now have the video clips working! I still have to figure out how to embed those. Thanks for sharing your fun afternoon with us
  18. bwahaha!!! That is hilarious!! The international joint Canada-U.S. commission! Blue skies and sunny days are ahead! I can't wait to hop on the new highway and check out Rochester's chic nightlife!!! A good laugh for the chumps like me who are working today...thanks!
  19. I never heard for sure, as there is currently no tv at home, but, no, I don't think anyone died. Crazy footage though!
  20. wow -- what a great week and a fantastic report! We'll be waiting for the Nipissing one next month!!
  21. nicely done with those bass at the end....from your description it sounded like a backlake, but from the amount of boathouses in the background, it looks like you did pretty well to turn a tough day around and pull some lunkers like that out of a busy lake. Thanks for sharing
  22. Wow...that is some warm water! nice job, GCD
  23. I remember posting that last week....but now that I watch it again, it's amazing that nobody else was under there!
  24. Yep...you know someone's an old-school member when Canadave gets mentioned. I've rejoined a few times over the years, and remember many a funny post/rant/trip through the twilight zone! I wonder where he is?.... And welcome back, Preroller!!!!
  25. I don't know that I've ever seen a good telescopic...the multipieces would be my choice. I THINK I saw a nice kit by Okuma on AllAmericanOutdoors....and I know BPS is selling the latest Shimano travel kit which is supposed to be good. Just my $0.02
