  1. That's the jack we were hunting last year around this time. WTG!
  2. So the dawg has had 10x as much to say as most people. Just cause it's a dictionary don't mean it all makes sense.
  3. What he said
  4. This is my pragmatic rural background talking....when faced with an expensive health problem on a peice of livestock, we would weigh the cost of a 22 shell versus the cost of treatment and replacement of said livestock. I do not mean to be insensitive to the emotional cost, that comes into play as well. I wish you well with your pet.
  5. What a smart idea! Is that the rule in every province?

  7. As some of the members here know, my father passed away early this morning. So to help me deal with my grief and loss my oldest child and her fiance took me out fishing tonight..........boy does she know her Dad. It was just what I needed! Did not catch a thing except for relief. I found out the most gratifing thing a father could hear; not only do my children love me, they also like me. I will miss my Dad terribly, but I will also thank him every time I pick up a tool and use it with skill. Most of my skills I aquired from his teaching. He taught me to weild a pipe wrench, screwdriver, hammer, but most importantly the value of family. So I say again, thanks Dad!
  8. Aluminum Boat Re-Riveted & Paul's Marine Welding ~ 519-6472110 Price: Please contact http://hamilton.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-...QAdIdZ151370194 He is in Lynden, however he does very nice work IMHO Reason for edit - gave the wrong guy.
  9. My condolences as well. You have had a difficult summer, I can only try to empathize with what you have been enduring.
  10. Take the spool out, and using a q-tip clean the bearing with some lighter fluid. Then take ONE drop of good quality bearing lubricant (ie: hot sauce) and lubricate the bearing (s). Clean the shaft of the spool, re-assemble and your good to go.
  11. And the pot gets stirred.........
  12. I have my batteries and fuel tank midships in a custom plywood box. I was rear heavy as well, but that is mostly from my own weight and the motor. Placing that weight there balanced out the boat quite well. (My water line is quite hilarious when you look at it) With a 20 hp I am able get up on plane quickly and at low speed I have the nose down. I am running a 14 fiberglass fishing boat with a trolling motor on the bow so it might behave differently than yours. Hope this helps.
  13. Educate me please....what is the difference between a brook trout and a coaster? Is coaster a slang name for a type of trout? If it is a char, does it turn a brilliant red as well? Beautiful looking fish!
  14. In about 14 years you will be in one of the most joyous times of your life. I have a house full of teens, and I have never had so much fun in all my life. That being said, don't forget that your wife is who you will spend your life with, don't forget her. I still remember sitting in a rocking chair a puddle of tears at my feet holding on to my newborn daughter for the first time. Welcome to the club and congrads!
  15. Not to be a smart simply tie on a lure of your choice, let out 10 - 200 feet of line and drive your boat at a slow speed.
  16. HE DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. However one must bear in mind the the square root of 69 is .....8 somthing Fiqured I take this thread even farther south....
  18. That is the ULTIMATE first post!
  19. Go to Service Canada to register your boat. If it is less than 10 hp you don't need to do that.
  20. Brains never were my strong suit...
  21. Here I thought he was just breathing heavy.... Thanks a lot Dave! and TJ and Spiel, and Roy and Rick.
  22. Poor solitary you, I use mucus..... I think the lube points can be noted by the GREASE nipples along the shaft of your motor.....I think grease is the word.... *I know, I know, very punny*
  23. Congrads Rob! Here's to 25 more!
  24. Well, one good experience leads to another. (Spiel repaired a rod for me, and I can't tell the difference )
