  1. the vents on the tank are open to atmosphere at all times and unlike automotive applications are not subject to laws for evaportive emissions, so no charcoal canisters and such, smelling fuel fumes indoors is normal and also reason inboards have blowers on them especially older boats
  2. were seeing a fair amount of 15's getting towed in with seized engines at low km's cranks wiping bearings out guess there trying to build em to fast with demand
  3. Lots of praise for costcos kirkland batterys out there. Know lots of peoplento have used them with low failure rates. I use east penn batteries die hard deka power surge among the names there branded as. Still runnin the 27's i put in in 2008 and still runnin all day thougj i am expecting a failure anytime top em up every spring and keep them charged. Best advice for buying a battery is convieance pick rhe brand/store your near the most if it does fail mo need to miles out of your way
  4. only the mnr AS far as i know, to call and find out
  5. i wish stanly cup was one game lol
  6. yes if the timing belt was off a tooth it would idle rough, if compression was good timing is most likey good, belt out will give a low steady compression reading usually and a low and steady vacuum ready while running
  7. usually if your trimmed up to much your water pressure goes down but your rpm goes way up, but not eing there to see it is a shot in the dark
  8. is the fueline primer bulb stayin hard, try squezzing it while at wot to see if it trys to take off, or try different tank and line seen this problem many times with ethanol degraded lines sucking air and not leaking fuel
  9. Why cant they just use one rod? not like theres a shortage of carp to go around
  10. also possible theres crud build up on t-stat that effects flow when most needed
  11. well with the couple i service either suke or evinrude johnson four stroke the alarm at high speed is usually a fuel restriction, bad line filters ect. had one case of a mpi suze alarm at low speed was a discharged battery
  12. easy way to check is put a meter on the battery then turn on the trolling motor see what the voltage drops to, the bad on will hit 10vts or less almost immediatly. also if its a minn kota could be a armature/brush brush plate issue as well as a footpedal issue.
  13. Uts a 99 when was the last time the impeller was changed?
  14. Cliff loblaws has agreat seafood counter with 3 deleverys a week from east coast. Not sure on pricing. But they had a tank full last te i was in
  15. volvo is already rigged to tow with the correct coolers and such, towing will add a degree of wear and tear to any automobile, not much you can do about it, make sure your tires are inflated properly and in good condition, clean all the crap out of front of a/c condensor/radiators and any coolers there and tow to your hearts content. see many smaller full sized trailers in the under 20ft range that have been under 3k can be a thought, indoor plumbing and cooking on rainy camp days
  16. i have to work four saturdays a year june 20 one of them go figure, sunday be on sturgeon unlesss i decide to prefish balsam, have some new shimano and loomis product to break in, be throwing it all, jig/pig creature baits toads/frogs/rats senkos, cranks and spinners and always have several rods tied for wallys in case bass dont want to play
  17. Old 3 series ranger dont have much problem pulling myself up on thenchrome grab bars when out swimming the sand bar. Also practice getting up on the electric when deployed and using talon and cavitation plate. Everyone should try boarding there boat from the water to be prepared
  18. Also depends on platform your fishing out of. All my topwater rods are 7ft plus fishingnout of bass boat
  19. Cliffs A fine neighbour to have and the repairs get done even better and quicker when you show up with a bag of walleye fillets
  20. inue to net makes no sense to stock nip either, why so natives can continue to net, and lodge operators can generate revenue off my tax dollars.
  21. I ve had many encounters with the police on the water, only 2 were bad, durham region on lake scugog ran over our lines trolling then proceeded to carry on about how its our fault blah blah blah, poor co in boat was clearly embarresed by the cops lack education. Other time was in bass boat just let launch by my house with wife, let boat warm up while turning on all electronics and doing my checks for gear, pumps strapping rods ect, turned around and headed to goosebay after getting to a area to fish cop boat pulls up and calls me everything but a white man for doing a u turn and "outrunning" them cop 1 inspects all my gear I put it away then cop 2 wants me to pull it all out again so he can inspect it, after that i make use of several choice words and afraid we'll never be facebook friends, full on power trip that day. most of the time thought there chatty and friendly enough, usually get a wave and a pass from them and when i do get stopped once the see jackets on deck they usually dont go further, i ve even pulled card out of wallet vessel papers that are duct taped inside glove box and opened hatch ad get told dont worry about it, we believe you lol got 20 rods on deck bet you got a $20 SAFETY KIT. the other side of the coin is cops are people too, and after stopping hundreds of boats and gettin attitude from people i would be getting crusty as well, they can keep that job thankless that it is
  22. Cant/wont stock scugog but stock nip hmmm
  23. Yes buy it. Or send me the info
  24. Lopks like line 3. Lots of times going back to 115 vts it gets internally jumpes somwhere. Change lots of pumps back and forth
  25. goofy weather patterns have the most effect imo some tactic changes for walleyes were in order but the fish are there lack of weeds and cold water makes it tough but doable. crappies were where i looked for em and there still on the beds as of sunday
