  1. You wont realize how useful it is untill u have it. Found a 100ft long sunken logging boat at the bittom of sturgeon lake with side imaging ribs stood out asIf clear as a picture. Nothing wrong with bird units the newer helix 5 nice unit for right price
  2. i love ethanol keeps me busy
  3. yup without a estimate to begin with your kinda at there mercy. what is the breakdown on the bill? by law it has to be itemized, and even the marine industry has a labour guide and remember it's just a guide nothing set in stone, typical marina pricing in kawartha area from $80-$120 hr. parts pricing usuallly run 40-55% margins
  4. Had lebarons come through for me when radioworld is put of stock
  5. In a heartbeat my ram would be gone back
  6. depends on what kind of atmosphere your looking for, any of the main kawartha lakes produce huge bass, tri-lakes and rice and seymour have had several 8lb buckets come from them, but also deal with more boats and the goon squads, lakes on the crow river system all produce nice sized bass, right from bancroft area down, paudash, chandos, round, belmont crow lakes all nice and not always as busy. i ve taken my canoe into some backwoods smaller lakes and have caught 3-5lbers all day long, low fishin pressure and almost no harvest grow em big in the backwoods
  7. i know that sound just had my hemi do it, sorry sounds like a new power head is in order, usually a clanking noise then seizing is a rod big end let go, it happens and usually not much worth saving after that
  8. yup found this site from the whats bitin board in 99, eeven remember my computer at the time ibm486dx2 all of 50 mhz and was excited to upgrade from the 14.4k modem to the 56.6 lol
  9. Lol ok no animosity here i understand that common sense not really common. Shane welcome here anytime
  10. it has happened, you know 80% of hds failures were spiked do to turning on with charger attached for updates, loading maps just to play with it
  11. The problem is if you decide to test the motor hooked to charger voltage spike can destroy circuit boards
  12. i mostly layed rods across bench seats never really an issue when by myself, those rod gloves are real handy for applications such as yours
  13. the good thing about the 5 th wheel is the ability to disconnect and go, trailers cost much less and you can make money hauling other peoples trailers when the need arises, easier to drive and manuever, downside extra maintenance on tow vehicle annual inspections and initial cost of getting a truck. full size rv- there cool but expensive inlaws paid $150k for theres used it for 5 years sat for 3 sold for $25k
  14. you can wire it direct to the battery, let me suggest for ease of charging abd safety to add a 40 amp circuit breaker and a battery master switch, seen battery switches at princess auto for $15
  15. Had a clarus worked good decent foe the money. Recently purchased a st croix panfish rod ul one peice 7ft oitstanding rod was a little hi though atb $120
  16. had some friends that flew in from edmonton wanted to get in on some bass action, headed up to the little bob channel, with a bit of a cold front blowing in and water temps still 69-70 fishin was a little slow in the shallows headed out towards main lake working weeds with strike king rodents and senkos fish were few and far between and nothing to brag about, worked my way towards the marina in caygeon to see if the non-windy side was having any action, found a school of crappies that liked wacky senkos near those marina docks got a couple bruisers lol, no bass though, (gonna put the crappie gear in rod locker now) then my 8 year old trolling motor batteries went from good to 7volts jinxed myself in other thread i guess haha, that ended the day, off to carquest couple dc27's $366 poorer till i return the old ones and good for another 8 years i hope
  17. listning to some old pantera AT OZZFEST, I WANT DIMES GUITAR. https://youtu.be/RkAMtXTEjco
  18. i use gulp products regularly for walleyes and have zippo issues with tails being removed by panners, maybe you need a better rod. as for different brand i use yum and phoenix as well, each brand has some characteristics that have proven themselves. also big thing is weight really dont need anything heavier than a 1/4oz in some cases i toss a 1/8 o weed edges
  19. 3 carbs with all the same problem is unlikely pulling choke still makes most of fuel come through main jets. Be looking at fuel lines/connectors /pick up first then check fuel pump diaphragm
  20. never seen a tank do that, anythings possible though and i work on lots of older boats
  21. if its passing a pressure test it should be ok, can pull seats or panels ect to access tank(s) it is possible that hoses in vent areas are cracked or clamps let go, maybe even top gaskets in sending units but the fuel smell should be around vents not in the boat it self
  22. don't worry about the engine to much, my hemi just dropped a valve and seized up on a proven engine with fairly low k's happens to every brand. one thing with the diesels is there with the emissions where gas was in 1976 gonna be some teething issues sorting out def fluid, particulate filters oxidizing cats ect there a whole bunch going on thats fairly new technology
  23. they changed how the cats were made along with software updates helped the scr's live better, the "white wash" coating over the precious metal was cracking and flaking off plugging up the exhaust, cold def hitting hot ceramics not a good mix, hopefully sorted out.
