  1. I watch it with some amusement, and cant help but think whats really gonna change with either in power
  2. use Berkley, used seagar and right now trying some suffix leader really like the suffix o far great knot strength not as stiff as the others
  3. lews has some reels in the 40 70 ranger that I ve had a couple years and work very well for what they are, though all I use em for is crappies and jigging walleyes they don't get much abuse
  4. yup ciggy pack paper is pretty much 10 12 thou. used it for years setting coils, feeler gauges are misleading anyway unless your using non-magnetic brass ones. pull wheel tape paper in set and tighten pickup lift flywheel remove paper reinstall and make sure no contact go fishing
  5. have changed starters in a couple Honda outboards as that was about the only thing that went wrong with them. wiggle shifter when trying to crank over may be neutral safety switch acting up as well
  6. mine was doing that as well, was a bad coil
  7. had a 55 on a 18ft ranger that worked good in most conditions short of a gale and its not a light boat be surprised the 46 no good on something that weight
  8. those smaller aluminum bass boats usally had 45-55lb motors and are fairly adequate in that application, that being said make sure all cells on your battery are good if you feels its weak. if updating to a minn kota cable steer 24vt make sure you have enough room for all three batterys, the minnkota foot pedal rather large as well you might want to trial fit it with the front pedestal seat in. also motor heavier. lost 2mph when I put a kota on
  9. A cartopper 12fter not much better in the rough than a flatbottom style jon boat. If your getting a deal on it go for the jon boat. All about the balance distribute load equally youll be fine
  10. have one on the lot be perfect for you, has a cats head on the side
  11. Most places not open when iam going fishing lol. The irving truck stop in pembroke being annexception with good food
  12. Give the pee hole a cleaning first. 3 years on a merc impellor getting there anyway there pretty easy to change
  13. Nice nice. I usually.just.buy whats on display at.gagnons lol
  14. 6 of one half dozen of other I prefer spray in Linux liner tough as nails and ni issues moving stuff like snowmobiles. carbides ate my plastic liner. as the stuff I do for a living I move around lots of oily greasy, antifreeze brake fluidy stuff doesn't seem to bother the Linux liner the plastic liners swell up and distort with chemicals
  15. team 66 hope I am not biting off more than I can chew. http://www.flwcanada.com/content/flw-rice-lake-tournament-team-list
  16. Spool speed and feel of the alderbaron is incredible cant speak for the others but the shimano product is ace. The real best bang.for the buck right now is the curado xg70 for 250 this reel is just about as good as.my cores
  17. You may have to ask at ct for them to order in dc batterys. But is there a walmart or costco in the area. Or carquest all carry dc batterys
  18. My linux way more durable than any plastic liner i ve owned
  19. The fish will tell u. Use rubber core sinkers in weights up to 3/8 and bottom.bouncers from 3/4 1.5 all depends on blades lead where u want the harness.in the column or it its a floater harness. Most common 1/4 rubber core 24 inches ahead of blades for me or 15 ft use bottom boincer on 3/4 and water over 20use 1.5
  20. True dc will be much better for that application. Moving up to 27 series usually involves. Nothing more.than a couple battery trays. You may want to upgrade the circuit breakers for the trolling motor
  21. No issues for quality or quantity here. Need to adjust for weather and lake changes. Other day smashed.2 real good walleyes pitchen.laydowns for bass
  22. Tacos are the.best mid size truck.out.there. may it serve u well. Just get it oil.sprayed rust proofed have several trade ins from 2006 2010 that are a little nasty underneath
  23. Start at your solenoid bat+ the trim should get its power from there too
  24. Yes test your battery regardless of age to start. Then if.u.have a multimeter i suggest you start by gigling all wires for a loose condition then if the checks.out start voltage drop testing
