  1. How aboot the HMS FishtFooker Gerrit?
  2. Stock that Ceement pond with them Speckled Rainbow Steelheaded Laker Trouts and feed 'em marshmallers, they'll grow up big and fat in no time and you'll never have to leave the house again.
  3. Looks like a fish catchin' machine to me! ... but I personally would go 50 hp 4 stroke.
  4. That's a very good name!!! Mine is the Coachdogmatic.
  5. You have a PM WM.
  6. Holy Hog Snot!!! Great report and pics!!! Twouldn't never have believed it if I hadn't seen it wit my own ize!!!
  7. There must've only been hundreds in there instead of thousands if y'all only got 2!
  8. Great report and pics!!! Congrats on yer first Rot Snocket!!!
  9. Great report and pics!!! Beauty colors on those fish!... the best/easiest way to catch a big fish is to either forget to take the camera or have dead batteries.
  10. The Odyssey wont get that great of mileage. If you go with a 4 banger, I'd get a manual tranny. All the vehicles on your list look like decent vehicles.
  11. Good Luck to ya!!!... and don't forget your logo, camera, and fresh/hot batteries!
  12. That mistake is going to cost you about 5 G's I'm afraid, with depreciation and fuel prices. The less economical vehicles aren't selling nowadays and your trade in will be minimal. With 2 children, safety would be paramount for me. Most people have tunnel vision these days when buying a new vehicle... all they can see is MPGs. I don't know what your budget is, and I prefer large/heavy duty for safety's sake... but if I had the money and small children, I would seriously consider Volvo. Their safety is nearly unmatched and they're quite economical to operate.
  13. I've heard they make great cut bait for Catfish!
  14. I actually meant a pic or 2 of the skeg so we could see what you were up against there, maybe have some ideas on fixing it in place instead of removing the lower unit. If it's like mine it's monolithic with the lower unit housing.
  15. Maybe a couple pics could help us understand your plight a little better forrest.
  16. You thought it was a good idea to do this without a manual because...? Your options as I see them: 1. reassemble and wait for the manual 2. beat the snot out it with the mallet and see if it drops off 3. hope someone here is familiar with the disassembly of your particular unit 4. take it to a qualified service technician 5. leave it as is and hope the good motor fairies come fix it overnight while you sleep. What exactly are you trying to fix on your motor? The impeller? Just a wild guess, but try rotating the prop shaft and wiggling the lower unit to see if this may free up the gears to let the unit drop. I've heard reassembly can be difficult as well.
  17. Great report and pics!!! ... noice fish, for a Bass I just can't see targeting those nasty ol' disgusting ol' Bass when there are Pike that need to be caught!!! Bring on the Pike Porn!!!
  18. Be sure to check your Dilithium Crystals before you headout!!!
  19. In zone 11 it's the fourth Sat. in June this year.
  20. Those limits looked pretty liberal to me! I'm not sure how many Americans would travel to Canada to catch Sunfish, but it's probably more the Perch they're after. What will the tourism operators do if the fishery collapses because of overfishing?... ... sit around and cry, and blame it on everything else except overfishing I'll bet.
  21. I think this article should be removed!!! Everybody doesn't need to know how sweet Bluegill meat is!!!
  22. Alabama is catch and keep all year, and we have a fairly liberal creel limit of 10 Black Bass!... but we have a considerably longer growing season. I would really like a C&R season during the spawn though. It would keep the tournament from pulling the Big fish off the beds and transporting miles down the river to the weigh in. They sight fish for these Bass and only have one thing in mind... money! I don't agree with nor practice this fishing pattern. The fish I catch are either pre or post spawners, and are released after the Kodak moment.
  23. That thing oughtta skip across the water pretty good now!!! I'm guessin' you'll get 40 mph out of it!
  24. Yup!... and you know which one is my favorite!
  25. Following the recommended lure and line weight printed on the base of your rod near the handle is one of the best things you can do for optimum tackle performance! You wouldn't want to be casting a 2 oz. Spinnerbait on a rod rated for 1/4-3/4 oz with 10 lb. test line. Look at what size baits you want to throw and then purchase your equipment accordingly.
