That's great Johnny!!! It took me 6 weeks to get my carbs rebuilt back in the spring!

Sometimes it's Bass Per Hour... and other times it's Hours Per Bass. My best ever was 24 in an hour... but that was cheating. We were in a rock quarry that had been abandoned for 5 yrs. and then reopened and pumped back down form about 15 acres to 1 acre. We used live minnows and slayed them!!! All between 2-3 lbs.!!! My buddy Lester the Coonass only caught 8 because he was tryin' to be greedy and use 2 poles, every time he'd be tryin' to bait the second rod... a fish would steal his minnow on the first rod!!! It is the day I like to refer to as "The day Lester dashed his Zebco 202 to smithers on the boulder rip rap... I'll expand on this at Lakair in Sept. ... so I can watch the expressions on his face as I tell it for the umpteenth time. ... other days, it's Skunkville!

Nice group you hang with there Bubba! I wanna see him do that with a 5 lb. Flathead Catfish!!!
-
... same here. If he blows by me like that in Sept. ... I'll be sure to await his return!

I carry on of these in my truck at all times with an air pump that plugs into the cig lighter. Just follow the directions that come with the kit and you're good to go!!! Inflate your tire and use some dish soap mixed with water in a spray bottle to find the leak/object, remove the object and plug the hole. Keep an eye on the tire to make sure the plug is holding.

What color is this Crestliner? I'll be back up at Lakair in Sept. and fishing the same area... and would like to be on the lookout for him as well.

I wonder how fast that Verado would run with 100 or so yards of 80 lb. PowerPro wrapped around the prop? I absolutely despise holes like that!!! Maybe he'll do everyone a favor and lose his lower unit on a rock at top speed. If you see him again while you're up there, try to get a pic so we can all be on the lookout for that dingleberry.

What's it cost to replace the battery in a Toyoto Prius?
Greencoachdog replied to John Bacon's topic in General Discussion
How often do hybrid batteries need replacing? Is replacement expensive and disposal an environmental problem? The hybrid battery packs are designed to last for the lifetime of the vehicle, somewhere between 150,000 and 200,000 miles, probably a whole lot longer. The warranty covers the batteries for between eight and ten years, depending on the carmaker. Battery toxicity is a concern, although today's hybrids use NiMH batteries, not the environmentally problematic rechargeable nickel cadmium. "Nickel metal hydride batteries are benign. They can be fully recycled," says Ron Cogan, editor of the Green Car Journal. Toyota and Honda say that they will recycle dead batteries and that disposal will pose no toxic hazards. Toyota puts a phone number on each battery, and they pay a $200 "bounty" for each battery to help ensure that it will be properly recycled. There's no definitive word on replacement costs because they are almost never replaced. According to Toyota, since the Prius first went on sale in 2000, they have not replaced a single battery for wear and tear. Copy and pasted from a Google search... you really should try it! -
Y'all girley-guys pull yourselves up by the bootstraps and grab the dang Catfish!!! Actually, the larger they are the easier they are to handle. It's the itty bitty kitten fish that always get me! Like this one: They're spines are sharper than any hypodermic needle known to man!!! All Catfish will "sting", the slime coat on the spines is the "venom". Some folks think it's like a snakebite or Bee sting where the poison is injected from inside the spine, but it's not! Like others have said, slide your hand up from behind the head, make sure the dorsal spine in front of your hand (inbetween the thumb and index finger) then wrap your thumb and index finger in front of the pectoral spines. This will give you a very firm grip on the fish and the hook can be removed easily. Large Catfish can be "lipped" but I recommend a glove for this as their woodrasp like teeth can leave a nasty abrasion Bullheads have very powerful jaws and will bite the piss out of ya if you stick your finger in thier mouth!

If you're so scared somebody is going to steal one of your pics... why post them at all? ... but you and I both know that the resolution of any pics posted on this site is so low that they're of no use to a pic thief. Which means the watermarks are there for only one thing... to Spam us to your site, which you already advertise for free in your sig.
