  1. Anyone relate this to that tune from way back In the year 2525 when man becomes useless, everything is done by machines. It's coming early, so much done by robotics, robots teaching robots. What do you do when there's no work.
  2. Agree, I think we're all getting tired of the corporate welfare. If Mom and Pops pizza is failing all they get is "you should have tried harder". Tired of having unions tell me what I have to do to keep their jobs alive.
  3. Was at the dealer this morning, top line trucks listed for over $80K, what the hell are they smoking. I doubt I'll ever buy new again.
  4. Looks like a recovery in progress for an Ottawa man that just had to try skipping his sled across the lake. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=10&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwicpNWn7_DeAhVitlkKHfD9CbMQFjAJegQIBhAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fottawa.ctvnews.ca%2Fopp-searching-for-missing-snowmobiler-1.4191698&usg=AOvVaw2tmlGnY3uTzcIsixtUOwzt
  5. You can only subsidize so much, if it's not financially viable them it should be let go. When you see the prices of vehicles it's no wonder.
  6. Check both of these, they are pretty accurate:https://www.windyty.com/?gust,43.086,-79.419,9 and https://www.windfinder.com/ Kinda funny that they're not the same today, EC canada says from the north too.
  7. Looks pretty good to me. Never thought of setting a price limit to make a nice supper.
  8. I think the closest I've ever got to one is maybe 150 yards and with steel shot, even lead, you'd have better luck with lottery tickets. Waste of time as far as I can tell.
  9. It's going to cost prospective hunters some serious cash, no lead shot. Ever try to follow one in a boat, damm things fly faster than my boat will go and they are very wary when you try and sneak up on them. Maybe someone can come up with a way of genetically sterilizing them.
  10. A happy ending, nice of you to throw in the moth balls, gives the mice something to go bowling with, lol.
  11. What Dave said, get the 8 watt model, gives you a bit more distance in rough country. They don't come programmed for the FRS/GMRS frequencies but they give you the CHIRP program and you must buy the programming cable. Programming isn't all that hard. You can also add the weather channels and a bunch of others but we won't go there unless you have a Ham licence.
  12. Ask my 49 year old Ariens snowblower. Put in gas this morning, one push of the starter and it runs. The carb has never been serviced. 2 mufflers a bunch of belts and one tire tube.
  13. Hahaha, speed isn't at fault, lack of friction will put you into the rhubarb every time.
  14. Go to your local Federal building, bring some ID and know all your kids and wife's birthday, they ask everything but your underwear size. Other than that, pretty painless.
  15. St Lawrence market has just about everything.
  16. If you're going up the 400, there's a Yamaha dealer at Innisfil Beach Rd, Dewalt Marine.
  17. #*+@% snow, I looked at the shovel and without touching it my back started twitching. Not enough for the blower, thank god it's fluffy and light. As much as I'm not a fan of them, I may have to resort to a small plow for the ATV. Barrie renamed to Burried, Angus to Anguish, or just pull the "G" and yu know.
  18. Well when you find an electric snowblower capable of eating the snowbelt dumps, come on over and you can practice. And when you find an electric powered generator during power outages, well, better forget that one. ?
  19. For those that can't get their gas powered equipment to run in the spring, it's probably due to forgetfulness or being an idle buzzard. Clean lawnmowers, oil change and drain carbs or fill with treated gas, whichever your poison and method. That goes for chainsaws, generators, weed wackers and least but not last, pressure washers. Leave it outside without being drained or serviced with pump antifreeze, sure as sherlock, the pump will split. Don't neglect the toys that make life easy for you.
  20. Not only the angle of dangle but the particular hum of the wire.
  21. It's aerodynamic, makes it go faster back to the shop for repairs. It's like everything else, they have to have a change and make it look fashionable.
  22. Depends on the grade or viscosity of the grease. A very small spray of the Rust Check in the green can isn't runny but doesn't harden up under cold temperatures.
  23. What Terry said, I used the F/F GPS for speed and my handheld, both were the same. Now if you're looking for underwater cannon ball speed taking into account currents, then you're looking for something like a Fish Hawk. You may require a part time job to pay for it. https://www.fishhawkelectronics.com/
  24. Ya, no falling asleep on high with that seat heater.
