  1. "White paste" smeared over the rivets proably equals silicone sealer which is a waste of time on aluminum. Get the rivets redone properly, then the motor issue, I really don't think it's anywhere near adequate to get you going when you have to leave due to bad weather.
  2. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but, after looking at the above picture of the eye of the snake, this is not a rattlesnake but the often misidentified eastern fox snake. Take a real close look at the pupil of the shown snake, it is round, rattlesnakes have a vertical slit pupil. I had one of these fox snakes in the camground at Meaford a couple years back, just about jumped out of my shoes. They also mimmick the tail rattling, but have no loose rattles. Also, the head is not triangular, common with most venemous ones. Check the following: The Eastern Massasauga rattlesnake (Sistrurus catenatus catenatus) is the only venomous snake in Ontario. It is characterized by the presence of a heat sensitive pit between the eye and the nostril, a segmented rattle at the tip of the tail, a vertical eye pupil and keeled scales. The body colour is grey to brown with dark brown or black blotches along its sides. Blotches near the tail sometimes join to form rings. The belly colour is black. 3. Are you complaining or collecting video evidence that shes a witch when it comes time for the divorce?
  4. If they don't pay attention pretty soon, they won't have to worry about building anything but wheelbarrows. That pretty much goes for the other two also, they just keep adding more power instead of miles per gallon, hey if they're too stoopid, let the foreigners teach them how. http://ca.news.finance.yahoo.com/s/2407200...arter-loss.html
  5. You try and run one of those noisy things remotely close to anyone else and you will end up with a splitting headache...someone will apply a hatchet to your head. Now if you're 500 feet from the next camper or out in the toolies by yourself, only you will have to put up with the noise. They make "dirty" power, not something you can use to run microwaves, small TV's etc, way too much power fluctuation.
  6. If you have to choke it to keep it running, then the obvious is that it's not getting enough fuel at idle/slow speed. Take the carb(s) off, dissemble and clean them. If the fuel line was the problem, then sure as flypoop in pepper, it definitely wouldn't run then either.
  7. Hope you both enjoy the vacation and a speedy recovery for her.
  8. Has nothing to do with being in the Army, just being aware of your surroundings and making light of it.
  9. Put a smile on me right after supper.
  10. Hmmm, Crappie eh, well it seems that the area around Honey Harbour is a hot spot at the start of ice out, but the rest of the year, hit & miss. I had luck a few years ago up the Severn river(something pool) I think it's called. That was about this time of year, got about 20 nice slabs on little rubber tails.
  11. Maybe your fine daughter should be a bit more intimidated of how much pressure she applies to the gas pedal, then she wouldn't have to see the nice Judge. Speed signs are not roadway art.
  12. Okay, Lets not, it's summer.
  13. Well as much as something else had happened(death) in camp, you didn't say whether it was not related to you, hope not. From my perspective, doing nothing is just about as guilty as cheering him on to catch some more "family" limits. At least I would have tuned him in the right direction and called MNR TIPS.
  14. A big Amen on that, well said.
  15. Lets say you went to Costco and bought some fish to take home, what's the proceedure for leaving the store, go through the check-out, pay, cashier gives you a receipt, oh ya, blow my nose with that and throow it away
  16. Good idea but check where the product comes from, a lot if not most of the far east products use real cheap quality stainless that will rust after a short time exposed to the elements. Bring along a small magnet, if it sticks, it's junk. Real stainless is not magnetic.
  17. Last I saw on the A channel news was the MNR fellow explaining it is similar to "herpes" virus, and believed to have been introduced to the water by way of domestic aquarium dumping.
  18. Sorry for all you crankers, but it must be water tight and probably wouldn't hurt if it floats. http://www.tc.gc.ca/marinesafety/TP/TP511/...ght_flashlights
  19. For the extra 10-12 minutes of driving, I would try the Tiffin St launch, corner of Tiffin and Essa Rd, Barrie, double wide cement launch, good parking and lots of deep water.
  20. Timing chain a.k.a the rubber timing belt at the top between the flywheel and camshaft, if they are taking off the flywheel, then it may as well be done, takes about 30 seconds to change the belt. As for the magnet, I've heard of that on the larger motors, the glue gets a bit warm and then lets go.
  21. NOT allowed, dead or alive.
  22. I get my bill from the old Ontario HYDRO, now HYDRO one network.
  23. Both walked away, no pun intended. You would think there would be a bit more stability in a strcture like that.
  24. Ya, was on the news last week.
  25. Ya, for $50 it might just be the answer to show the mother in law how to go solo fishing.
