  1. Honestly, I have two of the electric shortarm riggers and in 15 years haven't lost a knob. I just undo the big red triangle knob underneath and lift the whole rigger off from the swivel. There's no need to remove the 4 knobs completely anyway. Unscrew until they disengage, then lift the swivel off to where you can safely remove it.
  2. X2. If I loose something, then that will make me pay attention for next time.
  3. Fortunately those are the ones that will perish when poop ever hits the fan.
  4. I like the other kind of bikers too, the ones that have their legs spread as far apart as they can on a Harley and then pretty much ride the yellow line. Somehow I think I won't feel the bump half as bad when they hit that Cummins cast iron block.
  5. Where do you have the trim setting? Try with the trim up one(maybe two) more notch, (prop further away from the rear of the boat) You may be pushing the bow of the boat down right now with the extra weight.
  6. Well, looks like you have the knack for tying things up, Betty better look out... Heck they look better than store bought.
  7. Ordered an item from Cabelas US on sunday afternoon, 20 Jul, ground shipping, I got it today. Why can't government stuff work like that.
  8. Smoked eel...MMMMmmmmmmm, on rye bread.
  9. 930am, I go by the stinkin hotdog stand at CTC, amazing the amount of blumpkins lined up for their morning gorge. No wonder they are healthy.
  10. Take out ya might beat me, put in, ha, I got Glyde Stiks, slick like goose poop.
  11. X2, they work like a charm.
  12. Excellent place, close to all amenities. Pay attention to the fish finder for water depths, they can change up and down quite rapidly. If you use the side docks, there's a boulder and dead head at the entrance, tilt the motor up a bit. Fishing is what it is, there's good and not so good days. Go up the river through the old log weir around the bend past the rock outcrop. Past there it's about 8-14 feet deep, keep going a bit further until you see the old cabin with the solar panel, good spot. Enjoy the trip.
  13. Make hubby kiss it better..
  14. For us "northerners" it at least saves the wretched trip down the 400 to the city zoo.
  15. I had a little PM conversation with another member, something I mentioned to him that might be brought forward here for discussion. Instead of running a commercial fishery, why has the thought not come across to help or start them into fishing lodges or cottages. I would guess that the biomass removed from the lake would be much less. FN people would still be employed in a gainful manner and run their business. I think it's a possibility that would be a win/win for all involved.
  16. Nice info Crosshairs, appreciated.
  17. ..as long as it holds tight and you don't start drifting...
  18. You can get anchors much cheaper than that at Princess Auto..
  19. It would be rather simple for the seller to take name and number if you buy a commercial sized net. After all I don't think it's going to be used for a massive volley ball game now...ya think. I call brown granola on whether they put their name and tag on them.
  20. The vessel licence also has to be given to the new owner.
  21. Careful of the potholes and craters.
  22. DUH, that's pretty much a given, but I'm comparing to the other big ones such as LeB, Sail, BPro, not Mom& Pop.
  23. I'll have to call tomorrow to see if they do price matching. I'll agree that over 30 years of on line shopping has been nothing but stellar compared to others.
  24. Just checked a couple of places for that 5HDI with Gold Navionics card, over $100 cheaper elsewhere, even to get it shipped from south of the border.
