  1. I use Seafoam at the end of every season and have not had a problem.
  2. TD General insurance is robbery. I just got quoted less for 2 cars than what I currently pay for 1. Meloche Monnex all the way. Thanks for the heads up guys.
  3. It will charge it up, but it will take forever. See if it has an amps rating. That will give you an idea of how effective it is.
  4. I just called Meloche Monnex and they said you have to be a member of a professional organization to be able to get insurance with them. Did they require this for you guys?
  5. If you throw it away, the walleye gods might haunt you
  6. Insurance just tries to suck money out of you anyway they can. It has been known to cause problems in some cases, in particular when the receptacles don't have pig tails. My whole street is aluminum and its a 30-35yr old subdivision and nobody has had a problem. After speaking with a few electricians, they all have mixed opinions.
  7. Another thing to consider is what type of wiring they have in the house. This will really drive the price of insurance up. Has it been updated/redone? I would imagine in that time it was all knob and tube? I had problems finding insurance for my home because I have aluminum wiring. Everybody wanted a certified electrician to sign off on the house being safe.
  8. Get them to ask the previous owner who he/she used for house insurance and give the same company a call and get a quote.
  9. 14.5' aluminum with a floor and casting deck, no livewell with a 96 40hp evinrude and I get 29mph. I thought mine was slow, as I'm getting dusted by people in a 25hp. Im guessing its my prop. I will say it is very torqey though.
  10. Is 2-3" really worth it? Have you ever tried to reverse the boat with the motor off of the trailer? Had to do this at Lakair last summer due to lower than usual water levels.
  11. For the walleye white, pink, and orange jigs tipped with worms have produced for me. Set your trolling motor to the lowest speed setting that will move the boat and drag/jig your offering. Keep it moving is the key. I usually do better in the evening than in the morning so if your chasing pike/walleye I would go for pike in the morning and the eyes in the evening. Bring bug jackets because the Canadian bug spray don't work unless you get the 100% deet stuff from the States. Hope this helps.
  12. I was told by the guy who sold me my deep cycle interstate battery that Interstate recommends not bringing the battery inside over the winter. Charge it fully and leave it in the boat. I have followed this for 3 years now and the battery shows no signs of weakness. I also only run 1 battery for motor, trolling motor and fishfinder.
  13. I'll second that. My drag on my Supreme stopped working properly after 1 season.
  14. Anyone know of a good contact to do quality baseboard trim work? Need 2 rooms to be done, one is 22x13 and the other is 9x9. Located in Stoney Creek. Thanks in advance.
  15. Cool pics, thanks for sharing. What was it like to ride in the train at 400km/h? Does it feel like your moving that fast?
  16. I put it in the gas tank only. 1/2 the can when I store the boat and then just a bit afterwards during boating season.
  17. I'm pretty sure Clarus is 5 year warranty and compre is lifetime. I own a 6'6" clarus spinning rod, but it is not as good as the compre IMO.
  18. The question is, would you drive a fuel economic car if you were well off enough to drive a gas guzzler?
  19. I have seen that truck around, looks sharp.
  20. I love my avid, but was not impressed when I had to pay 40$ just to ship it out to them when I broke it and that was 5 years ago, nowadays its probably more. I would go to your local tackle shops and ask how they handle warranty claims with the different brands. My local shop has a Shimano rep that comes by and picks up the rods, and if warranty claims are approved they ship the new rods out to the tackle shop. For example, my buddy broke my Compre last year and I got a new one for 8$ (shipping fee). Sometimes you might get lucky and the rep hand delivers the new rods back and you pay nothing. Something to keep in mind.
  21. Sounds like it would be a half hour work once a week. Assuming its just cutting and edging I say 20$ a week is fair.
  22. Check out www.kanetix.ca. You simply enter all your criteria and you get quotes from different companies. For me I found that the price you actually pay is very close to the quoted amount. Saves you a ton of time too. I fell victim to TD as well. They increased my insurance by 500$ a year for no reason.
  23. What he said. Mercedes built the engines for these. If not the Cherokee, then the 4Runner up to model year 2003. I don't know much about models newer than 2003, but you can forget about maintenance with the 2003 and below.
