  1. I keep both boats that I have stashed locked up but I guess Im cheap
  2. Those are beauty specks. Like everyone is saying keep it to yourself or you soon wont have any of any size. However feel free to PM me the location and Ill be sure to keep it under my hat--LOL. You might want to take up flyfishing. Brook trout of that size are a hoot on a 4 weight flyrod
  3. It government speak it is well written. You just have to find somewhere in the book the definition of a hook. Which I beleive is on page 8 of the current regs.
  4. LOL probably answered by a secretary beleive me that happens all the time. Speak in person to enforcement(Conservation Officer) then tell us what the answer is. CO dont have time to answer emails neither does anyone who would know what they are talking about. You do realize that 90% of the staff in our MNR offices dont even fish/hunt right?
  5. I rmember this huge musky on a shoal on the French we knew it was in the area and tried to get it every day twice a day for a week. How did we know it was in the area? Everytime we fished the shoal he'd show up and sit five feet back and five feet down of the silver 5 blade prop on the 250 you could tell he was contemplating whether he should bite it or not but he wouldnt touch any bait we threw at him
  6. Yup happened to me . Scammers plain and simple.I paid the money and got out.
  7. There is a lot of great lakes for fishing along Red Squirrel Road. If I wasnt doing the main lake one of those might be my option.
  8. IM going to suggest fishermans cove near KIncardine. Decent largemouth and pike lots of panfish. A beach an indoor pool.
  9. Drive around. With the wait and getting on and off its much quicker to just drive.
  10. I feel very bad for the families but find it ironic that they came from Oklahoma to be killed by a tornado in ontario.
  11. I think you would enjoy Sparrow Lake. A variety of species and for the amount of pressure still pretty easy to catch.
  12. Trout are all going to be deep. Use a bottom walker or try vertical jigging
  13. Morrison Dam and Parkhill CA. http://www.abca.on.ca/conservationlands.php?page=morrisondam You can also do some exploring on the Ausable river Ive caught some okay pike out of it.
  14. The black spots are just that a parasite called black spot. Carried in bird poo thrives in warm water. Harmless its just in the skin. Its a good indicator that the fish is living in a stressful enviroment.
  15. Head over to Cyprus Lake National Park. First thing morning or evening go to the outlet creek in the lake There is a big shoal here. Wade out as far as you can. Cast the drop off should be good for some smallies.
  16. Thanks for the report MIke Glad to see a young guy loving the outdoors.
  17. Its because you keep having days off. Whenever your working the weather is great. Solution ---keep working let the rest of us enjoy some nice weather.
  18. If you use the IMG Code link on the Photobucket the actuall picture will be posted instead of the link
  19. For basketball the kid needs to be playing OBA rep ball. Then IF he is good enough he will make the regional and provincial development teams. If HTown is Hog Town which area? Ill direct you to a good program. As far as scholarships univercities in the US are not allowe to talk to students who are not registered with the NCAA clearinghouse. My son is being pursued by a couple differnet schools for a sports scholarship and if you want one you have to send video go visit coaches campuses etc.
  20. That might be the name The creek that flows from mackenzie king public school down to the grand which enters around the end of forwell rd is called Kolb Creek/drain . Use to catch my some big chub out of it when I was younger and the pond that it dumped into by blue springs use to hold some decent carp.
  21. It was magic. I was shown how to catch them when I was 12 in 76 by an older gent that I met on the river. Black and gold floating rapala size 9. It was amazing that a kid who didnt know much could just go out and slay big bass so easily. I'll never forget that old guy. Never saw him again but he hooked me for life on fishing and was kind enough to pass on his wisdom to a snot nosed punk that he met. Its why I will ALWAYS help people out that I meet while fishing. If it wasnt for that old guy I probably woulld have got hooked on something else. Although I might still be married..... second thought I REALLY owe the old guy a lot.
