glad you are ok you might drop a pm to bernie to see if he has any words of wisdom to salvage as much of the mechanical as possible. Art

You are correct it is not the age that makes the difference it is the creditability that makes it so. Here is an example: Fishing the Niagra Falls area by the Peace Bridge. First of all I have found that the left side of the bridge on the USA side holds a lot better cover especially the area that leads to the deep holes were the current breaks are by the red buoy. I use a black spinner that has a gold feather body that is trolled fast and just below the surface. I have picked up some good size bass down river were the green buoy is along the edge were the rocks change more to a white color. I also have had great luck with the walleye bottom bouncing a yellow jig tipped with minnows along behind the bridge supports. While all of this sounds good here is the rub. The closest I have come to fishing that area is I drive across it on the way to Lake Nipissing. The information that I have given to anyone here is very broad with just enough detail for someone to waste a days fishing looking for the points I have given to back up my fantasy trip. If I presented this information as my own and professed that it was factual when it isn't then I have not done a service to anyone. You will find that their are some people that over the years have given information on things that they have proven they know something about. If Bernie says something about a mechanical issue you can Bet I will take it to the bank. If you have a question on metals the you would do well to ask Wayne for an answer. When someone comes on the board and uses it for his personal play toy and continues to laugh at the people to see if they will swallow the next line of Bull then I will step in again and again and call them on their line. If you come on the board and speak the"truth" and embellish the size of the fish then you are a true fisherman... if you come on the board and make up a pack of lies and present them as factual with no creditability or are proved wrong with people who do have creditability then you deserve to be reminded that your Bulling and it isn't needed nor is it appreciated. ANYBODY FROM SUDBURY OR AROUND SUDBURY?

UMMMMM NO I AM NOT KIDDING YOU My B.S meter is going off full blast and your previous posts are all geared to jerk people around. You have contradicted yourself so often that when you read your posts in order you can see the pattern of your editing of the world of reality. Your tone of your posts are to stir the board up and I have seen people like you before and have seen them leave many times over the years. My fear is that you will cause a good member who I do want to be around stop posting after he finds out he was suckered into a situation that he feels embarrassed about. I have you in the category of a kid who is bored and is jerking around allot of good people and laughing as the post count grows. 2 times a week for 4 years This is just one example of the Bull I read from you If you do the math here that is 440 times between the age of 12 and 16 "No drivers license and both parents work" and not even counting the down time of the frozen water times. I think my claims behind my name are more likely than the Crap you are putting out. I am waiting for one of two things to happen either for you to get tired of jacking people and fade away or for the moderators to get to the point where you hang yourself and get locked down. The moderators hands are tied by politics..... mine are not so I can speak my mind and my opinions risking only my good name and my account here which so far has never been in danger. I will finish with this and say I hope your posts change direction and you can prove me wrong and become a functional contributing non Bulling member of OFC. At the present time I will continue to read your posts and call you on any Bull if I feel you are jerking the chain of one of my friends on OFC. This post should make my position clear and I am not interested in bantering back and forth for your private entertainment. Fell free to P.M. if you want any more clarification. Art -
ANYBODY FROM SUDBURY OR AROUND SUDBURY?

PAT Are you sure you want to continue giving advise on lakes that you have stated earlier you don't get time to fish because both your parents work. Most of the advise you have given is general and has no bases other than what has been posted here and on other forums. Google is a wonderful tool but give it credit when you use it...... Here is a copy of some info from a motorcycle forum were the question was " Can I leave seafoam in my oil " Sea Foam is an OIL PRODUCT, not a chemical, so do not worry about any secondary affects. Have you used Sea Foam in your fuel?, Read the attachments for more information. If your bikes engine began to create enough residue to "STICK" part of your valve train, IT IS TIME TO GET THAT OLD OIL OUT OF THERE! Yes, the Sea Foam cleans the old deteriorated oil back to liquid, but your crankcase oil will quickly make more residue, your oil has reached the end of its SERVICEABLE LIFE! Change your oil, read the attachment I have given on CRANKCASE OIL, treat the NEW oil with Sea Foam at 1 1/2 ounces per quart of oil capacity, then MONITOR YOUR OIL and change it when it gets dirty. Oil is still cheaper than an engine! Thanks for using Sea Foam! Attachments with the reply: Attachment 1: Sea Foam Motor Treatment used in Crankcase Oil All Gasoline and Diesel, Rotary style engines Sea Foam Motor Treatment is a Blended Petroleum Product, NOT A CHEMICAL and is widely used as an old oil residue cleaner and moisture drier in any oil crankcase. Sea Foam Motor Treatment is most commonly used as a pre service, old oil residue re-liquefier / cleaner and moisture drier, and is also used as an after service additive. Sea Foam Motor Treatment does NOT add significantly to oil volume, so removing oil is NOT required for use, when used according to printed directions on the product container. 1. As a PRE SERVICE CLEANER for old oil residue, (sticky rings or valve train noise), pour 1 ½ ounces of Sea Foam Motor Treatment into the engine oil crankcase for EACH quart of crankcase oil capacity including filter. (Diesels use 1 pint Sea Foam to 4 gallons of oil, please.) Drive a MINIMUM of 30 minutes/miles, MAXIMUM 100 miles, and then do your oil change service (LOF). This is the process of safely/slowly re liquefying the old oil residue so contaminants may flow and be filtered. This also makes your old oil dirtier, quickly, so a LOF service is necessary when the oil gets dirty. Great for Turbocharged & Supercharged applications where hot oils deteriorate so quickly due to heat, and leaves those residues that NEED CLEANING. (LOF = Lube oil & Filter service = OIL CHANGE). 2. As an AFTER SERVICE ADDITIVE into fresh oil, nearly fresh oil, or oil (used condition) that is NOT ready to be changed (by mileage), put 1 ½ ounces Sea Foam Motor Treatment into the crankcase per quart of capacity as described above, then SELF SET a program to MONITOR your oil for level, color and clarity on a mileage, timed, or event basis (like every time you add fuel, etc.) to determine when an oil service is necessary. (LOF) When the oil gets dirty, CHANGE IT! Sea Foam Motor Treatment will safely and slowly re liquefy old oil residue, This will make your oil need changing BEFORE your normal scheduled LOF service. Only your monitoring of the oil for color and clarity can tell when it is time to do LOF - oil change service, or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first. Synthetic oils, both blends and 100%, were engineered and are manufactured to be 100% compatible with petroleum based oils, all brands, and vice/versa. Without compatibility, oil manufacturers and engineers would be liable for the results of mixing non-compatible lubricants. Check your oil; monitor its level, color & clarity to determine need for LOF service! Change your oil when it gets dirty! Technical Services Department May 2008 DD Sea Foam Sales Company Attachment 2: Sea Foam Uses in Fuels Sea Foam Motor Treatment #’s SF-16 (16 ounce), SF-128 (gallon container) and SF-55 (a 55 gallon drum) is used as a fuel additive in Gasoline, Ethanol Blends, Gas/oil mixes & ALL Diesel fuels. This includes all brands and qualities of available fuels. When added to these fuels, Sea Foam Motor Treatment was specifically designed to Safely do five (5) simple tasks for you. They are: 1. Sea Foam Motor Treatment is a 100% blended petroleum product. That means Sea Foam is OIL, so adding Sea Foam to ANY fuel, adds lubricity to Fuel systems, Induction systems (Including Drawn through Supercharged applications), upper cylinders, fuel pumps, and related fuel system & Exhaust (Turbocharged) components. All fuels lack “Protecting” lubrication, Advantage: “Sea Foam”. 2. Sea Foam Motor Treatment contains an oil component that dries fuel system moisture. Moisture breaks down into its basic components of hydrogen and oxygen when Sea Foam Motor Treatment is added to any of the above listed fuels, allowing Sea Foam Motor Treatment to help eliminate problems caused by moisture, like diesel fuel gelling and poor run .Advantage: “Sea Foam”. 3. Sea Foam Motor Treatment contains an oil based high detergent fuel residue cleaner. Using Sea Foam Motor Treatment in your fuel system makes that old fuel residue safely back into liquid. Moisture becomes a “non issue” and allows contaminants to be filtered, as engineered by the manufacturer. Advantage: “Sea Foam”. 4. Sea Foam Motor Treatments exclusive formula is blended specifically to clean carbon out of the engine as the engine is run. This is accomplished by our cleaning oil formula eliminating old sticky oil residue that holds carbon and allowing that carbon to flow out of the engine dust particle by dust particle. Advantage: “Sea Foam”. 5. Sea Foam Motor Treatment adds volatility to fuel and slows down the rate at which that fuel looses its ability to properly burn. When added to fuel and the fuel is in properly sealed containers or fuel systems, per printed container instructions, Sea Foam Motor Treatment is a fuel stabilizer for up to 2 years. Always run the engine for a long enough period of time to assure the entire system is protected. Advantage: “Sea Foam”. Technical Services Department Sea Foam Sales Company Updated May, 2008 DD Last Attachment: Sea Foam Amounts in Fuel 4 Cycle Type Engines Diesel Rotary (Wankel) 2 Cycle type Engines Sea Foam Products recommends an average of 1 ounce Sea Foam Motor Treatment to each gallon of Gasoline (including 10% & 15% ethanol) and Diesel fuel (including low sulfur & Ultra Low Sulfur blends). With any vehicle or system FACTORY DESIGNED for E-85 fuel, use 2 ounces Sea foam per gallon of the fuel. Parameters are: 1 – 16 ounce can of Sea Foam Motor Treatment to a MINIMUM of 8 gallons of fuel, Maximum 25 gallons fuel to a 16 ounce can for maintenance. Follow the instructions above for OIL INJECTED engines also. (NO Sea Foam Motor Treatment ever goes into the oil reserve tank for oil injection). ***For all gas/oil mixed fuels (2 cycle) and E-85 Ethanol to be used in systems NOT specifically factory designed for E-85 fuels, DOUBLE the amount of Sea Foam Motor Treatment used per gallon. Sea Foam Motor Treatment is blended OIL, and will not run a gasoline, Gas/oil mix or Ethanol engine without introducing HYDROCARBONS (gasoline / ethanol) to the mixture at a minimum 50%. Fuel injector cleaning machines in a controlled environment use Sea Foam Motor Treatment as their safe Cleaning agent mixed with gasoline or ethanol blend at a ratio of 50% Gasoline/Ethanol blend & 50% Sea Foam Motor Treatment. I use SeaFoam and it works great if your carbs are not full of gunk and the jets are not closed off. It is good for minor varnish but will not remove insolubles from your fuel system. Their is nothing like removing and cleaning all of the orifices and passages to get a motor running correctly. Art

Heres a hint bud get her a silver swimsuit and fish hook earrings to wear while tubing...... Really nice boat it looks like a great choice for the small and larger lakes around you. Art

Cliff I am a big fan of the Lowrance units. I Like the big screen units for a different reason. If you decide to get radar for the unit and you want to split screen it with the plotter the smaller screens will only allow you to do one or the other. I have used the split screen and with the both of them you can see your position of your boat and also actual reflections that I.D. other boats and reflection devices. It also lets you see more of a split screen graph/ plotter. Art

You nailed BM... They found that the flares that are kept out of the humidity have a high success rate even if they are expired. I have 18 flares on board and hope I never need one of them but when the weather is bad and viability is minimum the more the merrier I say. Art

Heading to Rondeau Bay middle of July, need responses
aplumma replied to a topic in General Discussion
You will most likely get better responses if you were to trade info instead of kind of wording your posts as a demand. You also will find that this is a busy weekend with bass opening and the Lak Air G2G going on. What I have found in the past is it takes time for someone to type out any response to a question so putting a little honey in their like "please" or who wants to join me for a fishin trip and I will buy the gas and the coffee or something along those lines. I have also found that trading information is a good way to get information like if their is a little lake in the area were you have had good luck and you clue them in on that water then they will be more inclined to clue you in on their water. The last thing is that you are just 4 posts into your life here at OFC and so far you have posted to ask for info and complain that you didnt get it.The other two I didn't look up. So go ahead and take a trip and use the camera and post a fishin report and then at the base ask for advise on the water and you will find people are more likely to share their hard won info on the body of water. As far as info on the water I don't have any because I live in USA and have fished a limited amount of places in Canada but as your posts become more of a sharing nature I will be happy to speak up on the ones I do know. This is not intended to be negative just a few tips that will make you hopefully a long time active member of this board. Art -
You can bet your ass you ain't never going to see that happen GCD with all of the crap DR salvemyanus puts on the internet. LOL Art aka Aplumma

Why in the hell are you all rifting someone for opening up a fish and checking out something that has a legend behind it. He decided to see what was inside of the fish and then shared it with all of us curing my and others interest in what the stones look like. It is healthy to want to see what is inside of or over the next hill... it is called curiosity and along with having thumbs it is what makes us top of the food chain. For all who say nay then you have not enough curiosity and are doomed to be sheep and follow blindly for the rest of your unadventurous lives. All of this over one fish's life... go fishin folks Art

Bought a reel from US website, do I need to pay import tax?
aplumma replied to maybo's topic in General Discussion
I checked on the gift thing for you and it is a felony here in the USA called Postal fraud that they are worried about. It would be pretty easy for them to get busted if they marked it on all of the packages going to Canada so you might want to ease up on the anger thinggy. If you can send it to a USA friend they can rebox it and send it forward as a gift. A word of note if you do have something reboxed make sure that it is out of the packing and looks used before they send it out if they send it with papers and a receipt or looking new Canada postal will charge them the duties and tax even if it is marked gift......(yes I did it and yes I made this mistake and the final yes he was charged) Art -
