Paul at Top Gun Marine does fix Yamaha motors ,he fixed mine a couple of times last year. The first time I took my boat to him, I felt like I was getting the run around by another marina and he had me back on the water in three days.
-
I've watched a few of his shows and enjoyed them. On most of the programs it seems that there is a problem with the insulation or vapour barriers, which are probably covered up by drywall before the homes are inspected. I wonder how many of the homeowners sue the contractors using the show as there evidence?

I know this is off topic but, I'd highly recommend Paul at Top Gun Marine also. He has fair prices and excellent service , I've actually taken my boat there and went for a coffee, came back and it was done.

If you always wanted a Ranger, then buy it. Seems like a decent boat. The gas costs go up when you move to a 20 footer and 225 hp (towing and driving around the lake).

The last time I fished there we found the crappy were suspended, hope this helps.

Thanks for sharing those pictures, that fish in the first picture looks huge with nice colours. Congrats on a great year.

My Year in Review a pictorial passion part 2

nice pictures, those were some nice bass you caught, congrats on your year. -
great report as always. I'm sure you get a nice little workout taking the boat off the van and carrying it across the beach to the water, would love to see a couple of pictures where you launch next time.

great report and pictures. Just curious , is there a closed season on bass? or is it open all year.

hi Mike, just thought I'd let you know I had one of the Northam Fishing spinnerbaits and the red rubber material came off after the second pike I had on , then the blade came off. Lots of good spinnerbaits on the market (team daiwa, stanley).

I'll bet 98 % of the people on this board didn't know that there was a North Pigeon Lake me included, explains the confusion
-
congrats on catching all those fish , was that an average outing? (catch wise)
-
looks like you need some trailer hooks for your spinnerbaits, I have 4 rigged in different colours that I use most of the time. an Excaliber wake bait and a silver rattlin rap. After buying those you should be set.
-
kind of sounds like you don't need anymore Rapala's since you already have two go to x-raps. I'd suggest a Excaliber wake bait, a rattlin rap and maybe a walk the dog type topwater bait (I think rapala has these). I also like Charles idea about swapping lures , could save alot of money.

I think Marcus did get good advice in the end, as buying a gift card was probably the way to go. As for the service at BPS I can only comment on the fishing departmnt as I don't go to the hunting section. I've never had a problem finding someone in the fishing department, they usually have lots of staff to serve people, I think all of them are involved in the sport which is very important and have had a few discussions with some of them regarding different lakes. There are a few of the salespeople that if they are not busy will approach you in the aisle to see if you need help finding anything which I think is great customer service. Overall I've never had a bad experience in the fishing department , although sometimes you can find things cheaper somewhere else or maybe they don't stock a lure I'm looking for, but I think overall they have a great selection. The lack of stock issues sometimes are maybe caused by the amount of people that go thru the store and the amount of merchandise they move , plus the fact that ALL the BPS stores are probably re-stocking from the same place. I have gone into the store looking for a certain colour in plastics and it seems like someone bought the last 10 packages trying to stock up for their fishing season and I usually end up getting something else in the colour I want. I would say I go to BPS about once a month and usually don't spend much money there, but I enjoy looking for new items they are selling, as they seem to bring in new stuff into the fishing department alot.

Daniel, I didn't notice if they had those bags out. Sounds like you might have to take a trip over there .

I was at BPS today and they had the rod racks on the floor for the sale price.

There have been lots of good fishing posts this year, I enjoyed reading posts from Tbayboy,Ehg,MJL (great carp reports),Meely(great musky reports),Rich ,Johnnybass, jediangler and Steve Rowbotham. These guys all put in alot of time and effort to post reports this year and I'll have to agree the best fish picture was that one of Moosebunk, that fish had amazing colours.
-
The guy probably just kept driving the sled in that condition and didn't take it to get serviced regularly, he probably wasn't aware of the problems. I'd mention it to him how much work is required and see what he says.
-
I would say my catch of the year wasn't one fish . It was probably all the sucess we had crappie fishing in the spring.
-
going that fast at night is asking for trouble, luckily nobody was seriously hurt. We witnessed a guy in a Ranger bass boat with a Verado on the back hit Long Shoal on Simcoe (going about 30 mph), he was between the markers closer to the west one when he hit two different rocks. He was able to drive back to where he launched very slowly, during daylight hours.

Any Home owner Insurance experts out there? Totaly N/F
mikeh replied to Cookslav's topic in General Discussion
I'd suggest you call the builder one more time and ask him if he'd like to fix it. It might be cheaper for him to fix it (fix leak, repair drywall ,paint and replace ALL the carpet) than for the insurance people to hire somebody plus the lawyers fees plus any other costs incurred. -
looks good and a nice discount to OFC members as well
