John Wick 1-2-3? Need more acting, less violence, JMHO. -
Brian, I have only fished a couple of lakes in extreme western New York, Findley Lake ( 300 acres ) and Chautauqua Lake (13,000 acres}, both are very good fisheries, but anyone can have a bad day on either? One of the guys in the bass club I was in had a trailer at Findley for the summers and another had a summer home at Chautauqua, both good fishermen, and I never saw either win on their " home " lakes. New York I thought does a good job of maintaining and policing their waters. Those shows? They are basically fishing with a guide? Someone that is very familiar with those waters? The south has an advantage because in part because more food is available for more of the year?

Not sure what else you could do Dan, I live in a rural area and use this stuff on my dog, https://www.chewy.com/revolution-topical-solution-dogs-201/dp/173090 I have never seen a flea or tick on him, and he is mostly white and short haired, so they would be easy to spot?

LOL, it will keep a lot of people busy making new ones.

Humans generate heat, it's what we do., how many other species have engines and other heat generating things running? Is it logical to think as the population increases it will not unless changes are made?

What is sad is that just judging by the names and ages there looks to be a couple of father and son teams there? What an example to set?

Yes, the Cuyahoga River which runs right thru the center of town. It wasn't the first time, but inspired a lot of pollution regulation here. Lake Erie was a mess, and sewage treatment was way out of date.

We only have one planet to live on currently, and the prospects of that changing anytime soon are slim, it seems better to error on the side of caution? You know who will suffer the most from a change? Not the treasure seekers that provoked it?

Florida Intercoastal Dock Fishing
OhioFisherman replied to Toronto_Angler's topic in General Discussion
I was in Largo for around 5 weeks in 2009, although I didn't fish, some those seafood places along the waterway way have patios to eat on and the customers spend a lot of time throwing scraps of food to those fish, anything you can eat might work as bait. -
Anyone use trolling spoons for casting?
OhioFisherman replied to huzzsaba's topic in General Discussion
One of the rivers we fished here has a resident population of largemouth and a steelhead run in the fall, it wasn't unusual to hook a steelhead on a tube while bass fishing, I think a swimbait would work, -

LOL. I won't say they are dumb, just on a mission, to feed! We caught them on Erie here on tubes, grubs, and crankbaits, fishing for smallies. -
I used to collect some older reels and would hit garage sales and flea markets looking for them, old is only one part of what might make a reel or lure valuable, I have also seen many old tackle boxes full of old lures and reels that I wouldn't have paid 20 bucks for. Don't get me wrong, some of the old stuff is worth some serious cash, but a lot of it isn't.

Sorry for your loss, I think you will have real problems getting an insurance company to pay for a thing with no proof.

Looking for fall smallies? Here's a tip.....
OhioFisherman replied to BillM's topic in General Discussion
On Lake Erie I had about an 8 mile stretch of water that I fished regularly for smallies and I considered them roamers, at least the bigger ones. They could be on one end of the stretch or the other, or anywhere in between searching for food. You could fish an area for hours and just catch smaller ones and all at once the bigger ones would appear, and 15 to a half hour later disappear or shut down. One reason why trolling a crankbait that would bounce bottom or get very near bottom was a good way to locate them, I really didn't like spending hours in one area waiting on them to show up. -

They cast little cleo's and rattletrap style lures here at night for walleye and steelhead from the piers and breakwalls. -
I'll call the victim as a common shiner?

Looks like a pike to me too, a nice shot though!

I always considered a muskie a northern pike on steroids! Nice fish, and better luck landing them than I ever had.
