  1. Never saw or heard of one being caught in Erie, dad never mentioned seeing one either. He fished Erie all his life and had stories of sturgeon rotting on shore because people caught then and thru them on shore when he was young. Never saw one anywhere else I have fished either.
  2. Nice report Matt!
  3. Good thoughts doing this, but unless they catch them with the fish doesn`t it become he said she said? Got to believe they stashed them with someone not involved once they became aware of what you were doing? Still maybe it will prevent future crimes.
  4. I used to fish Boys Village tournaments here in Ohio, they stopped having them, I think it was because of insurance concerns. They were well organized and only a couple a year, sad to see them stop them.
  5. LOL TJ do they make your booze out of gasoline?
  6. Higher than my roof, so I haven`t been there!
  7. Happy birthday kid!
  8. If the server is slow I don`t tip as well.
  9. Ya get a circuit tester or multi-meter and check if you have power at the plug on the vehicle, that will tell you if the problem is on the trailer. Bad grounds are common on all trailers, even tractor trailers. My utility and boat trailer have had ground problems, getting a good ground fixes them. My utility trailer came with the ground wire not connected, it worked fine until rust developed on the connection to the trailer ball. You can spray white lithium grease on it to help prevent it, keep your trailer ball as rust free as possible or replace it with a stainless steel ball. Damage to the wire from aging or contact with a sharp edge is possible, but aging is usually on an older trailer.
  10. I have seen them in Lake Erie, some pretty good sized ones, a few pounds. We have seen them there since we were kids, just guessing escapees from flooded ponds, or people releasing them when they tired of them. Most if not all are a member of the carp family? My brother has used them for bait in Lake Erie, small ones, they work, pretty hard for them to blend in with their surroundings. Never saw a small one in Lake Erie, I think they get found and eaten pretty quickly. In a shallow whats his name without predators?
  11. Happy Birthday Art! you aren`t nearly as old as I feel.
  12. Crusher run must be what is called 4/11 mix here, power up to a big acorn size stone, yes it packs tight! I have also seen people put down ashphault shingle from the shingle plants here as a base. They give the scrap ones away.
  13. Never used one on a worm harness myself, I have caught walleyes just using a texas or carolina rigged worm. Dad used them on one of the Kawartha lakes years ago rigged on a worm harness and got walleye.
  14. Sorry for the families loss Tom, keep your chin up.
  15. Congrats!
  16. LOL, if you have to cherry pick your spots off the web you haven`t spent enough time fishing! Chances are if you went to those spots your results wouldn`t be good. You can learn more fishing long, hard, and often!
  17. Sorry to hear about it, before I got a lawyer involved and the added expense I would be looking for more insite on the cause. Bad fittings? or human error. My dad sunk his Lyman at Lady Evelyn by having it tied up too tight and the lake level went up. Boat traffic can cause it too, a lot of water in a wave.
  18. That`s a lot of beer cans! Looks pretty for a plane!
  19. LOL Ned, that would have been enough. I think Curtis Lemay was running the US air force back then and it would have pushed him over the edge.
  20. Haven`t seen any yet, they like the red handles on my garage and barn door openers safety releases. We set out feeders too, for them and the yellow jackets!
  21. It was a good program, and that was the idea I got from it, it`s all about the money. Can`t have a country with way less people have a better plane, LOL make a deal, er show me da money!
  22. Always a danger in taking new people to your spots, some know how to act some don`t care. A pig can mess up things for everyone, so can an idiot. Lots of farm ponds here are now off limits because of pigs and fools. My neighbor has been after me for 17 years to take him fishing, and it`s still no. Dude doesn`t pick up the trash in his own yard, waits for it to blow away, and he views fish as meals. Phil enforcement here is long over due. The only place I know of that does a decent job of it is the Fremont area in the spring for the walleye run.
  23. http://www.avroarrow.org/ saw a program about these planes on the history channel.
  24. I haven`t used soft plastic jerk baits for them, but they will take 6 and 8 inch lizards, accidental catches.
