  1. Greg, another great post! BTW which GPS unit did you end up getting to replace the one that went down the hole? Stan
  2. Thanks Roger for the update on the online circular situation. If you're clueless, sh!!t what would that make me? D2mn, don't answer that! LOL!!! I'll have to see if I can swing by on the weekend. Likely to be sunday if I do. I'll be looking for you Roger! Stan
  3. I don't know how accurate the chart is but based on Mistyriver1's chart, Chrysler's Trucks have been on the rise. IMHO due to all the cross-overs that they keep making up in the truck section. GM's trucks were still the top picks. One thing to note from the chart, Toyota is the only company that saw positive growth in all three sections. That should also tell someone in the Big 3 to wake up, but will they? I probably think not, plus too many Union barriers to improve the trucks any great deal. IMO US trucks are for those who need heavier working trucks and will have to compromise with the fuel. The Japanese trucks are meant for the lighter duty uses and more daily commuting thus having better fuel economy. I think I'll probably look at Japanese cars the next time around but if I were in the market for a truck, I'd probably shop around for a GM, if the fuel situation improves. HearingFish
  4. Dan, Great pics, thanks for sharing them with us!
  5. Done!
  6. Well, I've printed the info I need and will be packing stuff for a morning ice fishing outing with my son. I will be tryinig BP around Innisfil as Chuck (BigChev4x4) suggested or another spot Paul(Clampet) had mentioned to me. Time to watch my 6 year old son out fish me again! Take care if you going out. If your in the area and see 3 guys and a boy out on the ice, swing by and say "hello". Stan
  7. Good Morning all you really early birds! I'm up as I have to recall something someone PM'd me. What are you doing up this early? HF
  8. Awesome pics of an incredible animal, I'm impressed regardless how many times I see these pics of these rare animals. HF
  9. LOL! Kevin, I think you may have scared off TB being a little bit too excited!!! TB, thanks for the update on the ice conditions. Everyone, heading out, take care!!! HF
  10. Happy Birthday!! Hope you have a great day!
  11. Bob, Now that's probably why! I don't do much trolling as I don't have my own boat (yet)! Mostly casting, I am waiting for the time when one of my casts and retrieves will spark a nice 'ski to give my muskie rod (Abu black max with a Abu ambassador 5500) a work out. Thanks and I am grateful for your insight. Stan
  12. In Markham/Unionville, Zip, nadda, but the sky is starting to get darker. Roads are white from all the salt on the road, but it's dry. HearingFish
  13. Greg, great report once again, I'm glad my bad vibes didn't stick with you. I just hope the next time out with you the fish be more co-operative with us! Stan
  14. Welcome to the OFC family Rob, I hope one day i'll be able to learn something from you to help me catch my first muskie. Best Regards, Stan
  15. HH, I think that one may take a little longer than 2 minutes to cook! LOL
  16. Congrats on the huge laker!
  17. Clampet: Thanks Paul, I've been offered a couple of times help on the Bog but I haven't had a chance yet. Jen: Thanks, it not as easy to get out anymore, as my wife doesn't share the same level of fishing passion. Maureen: I hope so, then I'll be able to take him out more, as long as he finishes all of his homework. Wayne: I'm just following your good examples! Mike, GBayGiant, MoB, Smokey: Thanks for the kind support, fishing is definitely one activity I want to pass onto the kids. That way they can learn about the environment and have fun without the video games/tv. Stan
  18. Well, the day started at 6:25 am waking up my son who pleaded me last night to take him fishing in the morning. My son, who normally needs 25 minutes to get out of bed in the morning normally was up in 3 minutes! After trying to reassure my wife the ice is safe enough (if it's going to hold me at 250lb it should be no problem holding a 50 lb six year old), she okayed the outing. Got him all dressed up with layers and then headed out at 7:30am to meet a couple of other guys. After a short 60 Km drive from home and walking out about 10 minutes and 15 minutes of jigging, Joseph's (my son) first fish! The release! His biggest fish (~ 8 in) of the outing (3hr) and it was released as well. All fish were caught on artificles and released (the ones he and I caught anyways). Depth: 5-8 FOW Producing Lures: smallest jigging rap, modified simcoe bug (with legs), both tipped with power maggot. Body of water: Lake Simcoe Thanks for reading, HearingFish
  19. Okay, now what do "Biscuits N Gravy" look like, dare I ask? Anyone have of pic of them? What I have running through my head doesn't look pretty so I'm sure I have the wrong thought in mind. HearingFish
  20. Wayne, I'm glad everyone made it home without event.
  21. Paul, Nah, I think I hear the fish too much and don't hear the skunk hiding around me! LOL
  22. Hey Misfish, It was my first time out on the west side, not that it should matter much, fish just don't like to be around me!!! I felt sorry for the other guys that went with me, one guy got a little dinky perch while the other got skunked as well. I wished someone would've helped me out there but even the Greg Klatt got skunked with my last outing with him!! I guess that does it, no one else will wanna fish with me now! HearingFish
  23. Great intro Greg O, welcome to the family. Now, you may have just started a great thing with the stat sheet! HearingFish
  24. Thanks Paul and Chuck, Sorry, I didn't get to read the response before I headed out to Innisfil. A couple of friends and myself gave it a try near the huts in about 55 ft of water for a couple of hours without much success, unfortunately I missed my artic warrior flag go up as I was helping one of the guys understand the aqua vu, too late when I got the the rod. I'll have to try BBP next time. Thanks again, Stan
  25. Sad news indeed, sorry for your loss and my condolances to you and your family.
