  1. I was just gonna say, do a search for perfection loop on this site. Tony
  2. It's the damn Butterflies in the middle-east that dictate pricing! Tony
  3. Thanks for the input Marc! I'm gonna have to get those DVD's, I've seen em at http://www.thenextbite.com Tony
  4. My folks have the timeshare at Carriage Hills (they enjoy golfing). I would have to say like anything else in a sharing system, you have to put in the effort and plan ahead. My family has gone all over the world using the various timeshares. For the most part, the gold crown properties are 5 star wherever you go. The best part about the suites is that you just need to bring yourself and food, everything else is provided, kinda handy that way. It's worth it, as long as you understand you can't call on a thursday before a long weekend and expect to find a lot of availability... Tony
  5. The handcuffed look on Alfie's face as Sammy skated right past him to score the winning goal was priceless. At home or not, pure domination seems to be the theme of this final series, and you can't argue that for a second. Tony
  6. Nobody ever said anything about a trophy!! Nice! Tony
  7. I still don't understand what that would protect from or the benefit...I'm confused now Tony
  8. Tybo & Lew...Are you guys talking about these? So your swivel is contacting the thimble instead of the line? Tony
  9. The year is young my friend...
  10. Thanks for that link Gerritt! Spot...Contract...Futures....Got it! Tony
  11. Looking sharp there Squid! Tony
  12. I don't see it as being necessary, Fluoro has great abrasion resistance, and the smooth surface on a welded ring swivel won't create enough abrasion to wear it out prematurely. Hopefully teeth and fish scales cause more damage to the leader before a swivel wears through it Keep it simple bud! Tony
  13. Welcome to the site nikmisko! Migratory salmon begin entering the creek in September, usually after cool temperatures and a significant amount of rainfall. Tony
  14. What a beauty, congrats on achieving one of your life's goals! Tony
  15. Dang! Now that is a report! Congrats on the long awaited trophy pike, she's a hog! Tony
  16. Those are some great looking fish Roy, good job! I think I have only ever caught 1 Sauger and it was a 'cigar' sized fish. Thanks for the GPS co-ordinates, see you tomorrow! Tony
  17. Yep, gobies galore!
  18. Have you considered hiring a charter boat for an evening fish on Lake Ontario for trout and salmon?? Some of the operators even have Beer taps on board, so you can get primed before heading out for the nightlife in the city. It will certainly cost less when you factor in the cost of fuel to drive 4 hours away... Here is the operator based out of Port Credit that I used when I organized a company fishing trip for the guys... http://www.salmonexpress.com/index.htm Tony
  19. See...more proof there are NO fish in Temagami Tony
  20. You are to follow the 2005-06 regulations as per the MNR website...sounds like you already looked it up. Tony
  21. Don't listen to Roy, he crazy. I believe Garmin has really good reception compared to the Lowrance hand held units. I don't own one, but if I could buy one today (and I have done quite a lot of research) it would be the Garmin Map76CSX with an assortment of hydrographic charts to cover the areas I would plan to discover with the new unit. As douG mentioned, it's waterproof and floats! Why aren't they all built this way? Tony
  22. Welcome to the site ADC Tony
  23. That sucks... What happened, did the CRTC not approve the pilot? or were you not quite at that stage yet? Tony
  24. Thanks for the report and nice setup there G! xrap... You caught a White Perch, not a Silver Bass Here is a technical comparison: White Bass COMMON NAMES: White bass, Silver bass SCIENTIFIC NAME: Morone chrysops IDENTIFICATION: White bass are silvery in color and have a milky white belly. In addition, they have six or more dark lateral lines on the sides and back. This fish has two dorsal fins with the first having nine spines. The white bass closely resembles the hybrid striped bass and the white perch. White Perch (Your mystery fish) COMMON NAMES: White perch, Silver perch, Gray perch, Blue nose perch SCIENTIFIC NAME: Morone americana IDENTIFICATION: The white perch is a deep bodied fish that looks very similar to the white bass. The main difference is that the white perch is all silver and does not have dark lines running the length of the body. Hope that helps! I know it's nice to know what you have caught
  25. I hear ya douG, I've been missing this trip ever since I knew it existed as it falls on my wife's birthday, we should get a petition going to move it earlier or later by 1 weekend. I keep harassing her to spend her birthday there but she says 'it's just a bunch of old men going fishing and drinking' I respond with...'and your point...?' Oh and Capt...I'll see you the weekend of Sept 22/23 Tony
