I can't believe the officer fined you, that's Bull. What is the definition of 'storing' it could be considered 'storing' until you crapped it out the next day

It's such a pain to de-scale a fish. Boneless skinless is the way to go, rarely do I transport fillets and if I do, I'll keep a tab of skin on by the tail of the fillet in case of a check stop (I sense where you are going with this )

Yeah is this for real??? stop playing with my heart

I have read that spinner jigs can be effective during a mayfly hatch. Haven't had a chance to try it myself, but the theory makes sense... Also, if you do some searching, there is a lot of info on this frustrating scenario... Here is a great article... http://www.ontariofishing.net/news/july2006-2.html Tony

Make sure to take your team logo, a camera, and measuring device MrEH. We both need to start contributing to our team if we are going to live up to the name Tony

I just checked the 'Search' feature for Sparrow lake and lots of results were turned up. Spend some time with that and hopefully someone can chime in with some recent info from that area.

I only fished Sparrow lake once before and it was through the ice. We did ok on medium sized perch with chartreuse ultra-light jigs. I doubt that is the information you are looking for, that is why I didn't bother sharing it initially. I'm sure someone from that area can help you out if they see the message, and I know it is frustrating without being able to get out on the water to get a feel for the conditions and fish activity but sometimes that is the only way. For the most up-to-date information on fishing conditions and a great place to get live bait, boat rentals, and also the best tasting fish coating mix (Bing's Best Breading), stop in at... Also, try fishing near the boat ramp at Bell's point, I was snorkelling there and saw the biggest school of Pickerel (They are not called Walleye anymore once you hit Hwy 11) I also saw 2 Muskie and hoards of shiners. All within casting distance from shore. Cheers, Tony

Cliff...I have confidence in your abilities and I think you will catch a Salmon if you go night fishing in Late August - Mid-September at the mouth of any of the tributaries down your way casting one of these in 3/4 oz size. Little Cleo - Flourescent Orange Glow Go to Fortino's or any other place that develops film from the disposable cameras and ask to have one with a flash that has been stripped of the film. This makes for a cheap flash to charge your glow lures with.

I'm in the same boat HH, although we have been moving in gradually over the past week. Should have everything wrapped up by the end of the long weekend. An advantage to getting the place before we need to be out of our townhouse is that we were able to paint the entire main floor and currently having the oak hardwood floors refinished. Hope things go smoothly for you. We'll be settled in and back to the fishing routine in no time. Tony

I feel your pain man! If you can believe this...I haven't been fishing since the week after Trout opener. Between fixing up the old house before it went up for sale, packing, fixing up the new house and moving, I haven't wet a line in ages. I'm starting to twitch, and people around me are noticing my crankiness July 9th weekend onward I should be back into fishing regularly. Tony

Proud moments indeed! Sorry dad, but holy, does she ever look like mom! She'll be outfishing you guys in no time.

Solo, normally I wouldn't admit to being friends with him in public ... just kidding. Actually I am surprised he still wants to talk to me after we took him on a death walk on Simcoe in the winter (6kms + in deep snow - still got skunked). We had him believing we were in kahoots with his wife for his life insurance policy I think he is crazy for trying to get into politics, but I have to hand it to him he does put his money where his mouth is when it comes to conservation work. I'm sure we'll meet on the water someday Tony

Who exactly is training the agents? http://www.ontariotenants.ca/electricity/a.../ch204e16.phtml The only thing you need to worry about, is if your hooks are sharp enough and that there are no banana's in your boat Tony

SCAM! - Cancel it... These guys are definately shady... http://www.ontariotenants.ca/electricity/a.../ts-03f21.phtml Why 'lock into' a price plan that is likely higher than you are currently paying? They prey upon those who fear rising commodity prices. Tony

Always enjoy your up north reports! Can't go wrong pounding the eyes on cranks! Sounds like a lot of fun getting into the back lake via the creek. Tony

Congrats on the new sponsor! Every little bit helps and it's nice to have original sponsors that you can be loyal to and take with you to the BIG show! Tony

I find the best lessons are learned when you lose a fish Hence the swivel/bead combo ahead of your lure in case the planer does release. That being said, you can actually run just a swivel without the bead, but check to make sure it is big enough so that it doesn't slide between the notch at the back of the board. Mono can stretch up to 30% so if running long leads replace factory hooks with Gamakatsu's or ensure they are sticky sharp! Tony
