  1. Way to go Squid, I have to agree with Disspatcher, Alan Carr's Easy Way was my ticket to freedom. Whatever works for you is the best thing going. Keep up the good work. Cheers Craig

  3. Good topic Fish Farmer I'm 39 years old and have a 4 1/2 year old daughter as some other members have mentioned. I don't get out to fish right now as much as I used to/would like due to work and family commitments. I have considered joining the local club here in Grimsby in the past but figuered I would wait a few years until my fishing time improved and could contibute more to that type of forum. Cheers Craig

  8. Sorry for the loss of your very dear friend. It is obvious how much he means to you. Alot of people go a lifetime without having a friendship like you have described and for that you have the memories. My condolences Craig

  10. Nice job spoonmaster.. Craig
  11. For the first 15 years or so of my career I worked my share of Xmas and New Years Eve. As MrEh mentioned, i didn't mins at all before I had kids. Now I have the seniority that I need to spend Xmas day with my wife and four year old daughter. Boy she's wound up today with friends and family coming over later this evening. We just let her open an early gift so she has her own kids digital camera for the festivities. Someone remind me to close the bathroom door from now on. Merry Christmas all and for those of you working, especially in the Emergency Services. Thank you Cheers Craig
  12. This looks like Lake Simcoe when the Jumbos get into a feeding frenzy http://www.metacafe.com/watch/878880/best_fishing_ever/ Merry Christmas Everyone Cheers Craig
  13. I would soak it in water for a day or so to loosen the blood up a bit. I would then just throw it in the washing machine all by itself and hang to dry. Cheers Sandbag
  14. Percher....if it's still available i will take it off your hands Cheers Craig PM coming to you
  15. Sounds like a great weekeknd. Can't wait to see the flicks of the 13 ponder. Cheers Craig
  16. Matte paint is pretty hard to stay on top of for scuff marks. It may be worth your while to repaint using an eggshell finish at the very least if it is a high traffic area like a hallway or something. I've found the magic erasers work to get rid of the scuffs, however they tend to leave a bit of a haze where they were used. At least on darker colors they seem to. Cheers Craig
  17. Meely I pay $111/year for a Polaris Indy trail that I use for ice fishing. That is for liability alone. I use Primmum Insurance for the sled. It is a division of TD Bank. The sled is the only business with this agent. So it pays to shop around. PM me if you would like me to dig out their contact info for you to get a quote, or I'm sure you can Google up a phone number. Cheers Craig
  18. Randy....Were staying onshore and will be on the ice all throuhout the day. Craig
  19. Welcome Caner Being from the Welland area you have all sorts of fishing oportunities nearby. One of my personal favorites is in Chippewa area. Always something interesting to catch there. Cheers Craig
  20. Hometownhandyman I have had three friends recently bring boats in from the US. They have all used a boat broker on the US side. The broker did all of the work for them and they just took delivery. Obviously there is a cost involved for the broker, but they seemed very happy with the deals that they got even after the broker was paid. Just another option Cheers Craig
  21. Welcome BillM Pretty new here myself, but a very helpful group. Love the pictures....keep em coming Cheers Craig
  22. Low Drifter.... I would suggest that it is the people that have instigated the assaults on the fishermen that should be careful. There has been alot of public/media attention on the assaults on Asian fisherment. 99% of the population will not sit and watch something like that happen to an innocent person. Regardless of their race. Hopefully that nonsense has come to an end. Cheers Craig
  23. Well....just booked the annual ice fishing trip with seven friends from work. This year we are heading back to Sandy Bay Cottages on Callendar bay Feb. 11, 12, 13/08. This is a Monday-Wednesday trip this year. I find it much more relaxing and more productive mid-week than trying to fish with the masses on the weekends. If anybody else happens to be heading up to the area at the same time, I would love to meet with you and maybe share a few lies over a cold Sasparilla. I know lots here still have plenty of softwater action planned, but when your planing a trip for eight people you have to look far enough ahead. Cheers to all and good luck to all the folks heading to Quinte over the next few weeks. be safe Craig
  24. Pretty hard to tell without seeing the rest of the body. That's a pretty impressive rack none the less. Cheers Craig
  25. Good for you Rich....Great way to spend a day. Beautiful looking little Brown there. Cheers Craig
