Found a dead heron while out taking photographs the other evening. Decided to go back and take the skull, a wing for feathers and a foot. The skull was pretty picked clean except for a few feather and other icky bits, but I've pretty much got it cleaned up now, just need to get it sun bleached. The foot need some more ant work, so it's outside getting gnawed on by them. The feathers are all cleaned up and are nice and big and in great shape. So for any skull enthusiasts, here is the newest addition to my skull collection, which previously only consisted of a Steer, a deer, a marten and a robin skull.

Well this is the best I can do. I'm sure Terry or Dan could do alot better though.

The house in the third pic is really out there in the elements eh!!! Hope it never floods there Nice fish and glad you got to relax!!

Thanks guys. Would love to go fishing B, but mom is in hospital and I go see her every day. I take my camera so on my way home I can stop at my fave photo shooting places and reflect on life for a minute by myself. Things should get back to normal in a few weeks.! You and Paul could go though!!!

Great shots Bill. I set my camera up last night for the meteor shower, got it all ready, took couple test shots, then waited until after midnight as they said that was the best time, opened the back door and it was raining I then went to bed!!! I'll try again. You going to try for some meteors?

What a trip of a lifetime for those boys Mike Glad your friend is doing well now and you two got some time to spend together doing what you love! Great report and I love the plane landing video!

Hi Billy, you will definitely have to come up again, and bring your partner in crime Fidel with you. That was a blast last time you two joined us up there!!! The camera is a Canon 60D with a Canon 100 - 400mm EF IS Zoom lens on it. Been really enjoying it!!!

Nice first try at fishing out there, except for the jakov in the boat So now that you have done the canoe thing, you are doing to have to invest a few bucks in a fly rod and reel and head to the bow river. You will fall in love with this type of fishing for the gorgeous rainbows in the bow river, especially if you go to Kananaskis Country or just outside of Canmore in the mountains. Honestly, it's only a 30 minute drive from the outskirts of Calgary in the foothills and you're there. Look into it, you will not regret!
