  1. Hi Gordy I have the BPS pro Qualifier It is a fantastic suit keeps me dry on the wet days and warm on the cool days, Watch the BPS sales flyers and you should get it for $400 Most of my jigging rods are St Croix Med or Med light. I use the 1000. With braid there is no need for the larger 2500 spool The 1000 is lighter not a big deal for a couple hours but if it is in your hand every day for a 7 day trip it is nice. Just my $.02 Lots of options out there Cheers Rick
  2. Hey Gordy Great report and well done on the "Fishing" Fly ins are addictive!! LOL You do have to deal with weight limitations, Its pretty hard to come in under 100 lbs per man if you are bringing in beer at 22lbs a case. Great your outfitter was accommodating I look for that when I am researching. Weather will effect your flight times, Not much you can do about Mother Nature BUT When the float plane leaves you on 'your' Lake Its is a very special feeling, I can't wait til next time!! Cheers Rick
  3. What do you use to clean your vinyl boat floor? Some special cleaner or on your hands and knees with a scrub brush and tide? Thanks Rick
  4. Have a 'Fun' and 'Safe' trip Get the 'Big Guy' Cheers Rick PS Say Hi to Joe for me
  5. Hi Mike Another Great trip and fantastic report. Huge congrats and hats off to the 'Dads' yourself, Joe K and Joe S for taking the time and making the effort to take your boys on a trip such as this. The plane ride, fishing, cooking on an open fire, roasting marshmallows, driving a boat, jumping off the rocks and swimming, catching leeches and just hanging out with their friends They will remember it all. My boys are in their mid thirties and still talk about trips we did 25 years ago A fantastic experience Cheers Rick
  6. Hey Bunk I am not gonna get in a pissing match about 'Terminology' or 'Definitions' You can charge a 24 volt system, consisting of 2 ,12Volt batteries with one charger, However it might be slow. The simplest way is to get an onboard 2 bank charger and hook it up to both batteries to charge both at the same time. OR Get a 3 bank and also charge the starting battery. I unplug the Terrova before plugging in the charger and no need to disconnect batteries You are gonna love the Terrova 24 volt 80 lbs thrust with remote and I-pilot It works as advertised Cheers Rick
  7. Yes Brian Those are the ones I was referring to
  8. A tuff start but another great trip. Paul looks happy as he should be that's a beauty Muskie.
  9. Bill Try Smooth Move Seats This is a hydraulic seat, I tried to post link but would not work. I found this while searching for the same thing as you. I have a Toronto contact # if interested Rick
  10. Hey Bunk Another amazing trip!! Thanks for taking the time to do the report, A fantastic write up and pics! Your comparisons in Bear and Slave is great A lot of really good info. My favorite is still the Tree, I just loved your report and pics from that trip. Cheers Rick
  11. BFW AS Bill said it should unwrap itself Never had an issue with mine! Spot Lock is the best I do a lot of jigging for Lakers/Whities here on Simcoe in 100 plus feet of water It is a 'HUGE' pleasure not having to deal with 150' of anchor rope and chain. Linda you might never use the foot pedal!! I have had my Terrova for 3 years and other than hooking it up to see if it worked I have never used it!! Terrova vs PD no comparison for store and deploy Terrova much simpler Enjoy your Terrova Cheers Rick

  22. Hey Guys and Gals It was a "fun" trip and thanks for reading Mitch We flew out of Wawa TimRm The hockey stick works the 'best' But I think I am dating myself with an aluminum Easton!!! LOL Sylvan PM anytime Bri The Arrius is the first out of the rod locker here on Simcoe But because its a one piece I do not take it on Fly ins. Pilots are OK with one piece but the 2 piece pack much easier Cheers Rick
  23. Hey Capt The May Fly hatch always creates some issues. Try the Slow Death hook on a drift or slow troll.
  24. Hey Simon Don't be afraid to give yourself and your family a pat on the back! You deserve it. I am sure Sean appreciates it. All the best Cheers Rick
